Super Bowl Prediction ThreadI haven't seen one posted, and I wanted to see FinHeaven's prediction on which two team's will make the Super Bowl.
So here's my pick: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Dallas Cowboys I hate the Steelers, I don't know why I just can't stand that team and their stupid gay towel. But god damn, that team is loaded. Ben Roethlisberger (although I am not really a fan of his), Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes emerging into a #1 receiver and looking better than Ward, Heath Miller, Willie Parker, an a first round rookie power running back in Rashard Mendenhall; mix that up with an above average defense that Pittsburgh always has. This team has it all to go on top. I'm not sure why no one is picking this team to go on top, but they are just loaded. As for the Cowboys, well, this is really all by default. On paper they have the best team in the NFC IMO, though other teams can be knocking on the door. They have a great offense with Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Jason Witten, Crayton, Barber and their new rookie running back Felix Jones. And their defense is always solid. The only team I can see challenge them is possibly the New Orleans Saints if they're healthy and the Giants if Manning can get his head on straight and make less mistakes. Every year he throws more and more INT's, last year career high 20 INT's, and he has a poor 54% completion percentage in his career with last year completing 56% of his passes; with all the injuries the Giants faced the off season, Manning will have to step his game up even more. And who knows, New Orleans might very well be the team that goes to the Super Bowl. They too have a lot of talent on offense with the addition of Shockey, 2 very good running backs, Colston and Brees. Not really sure about their defense though. I'll have to pick the Cowboys out of the NFC untill another team can show me something. Long season, but it's going to be great.

I think it will end up being Chargers vs Cowboys..
Chargers are a very complete team with many big names, Cowboys is maybe THE team who can beat everyone of the big canons like Colts, Pats etc.

I do miss the point on the charges , after they lost donnie edwards and their other ILB retired some missed to mentioned that their RUN defence hit the bottom.adrian peterson tore them up for a NFL record. this year as you guess it they have not drafted a LB or have one in the wings.
Jamal their NT is very old and even last year was a shell of his for self which made it tough as they have alot of yards towards the end of the year. this year he is one moreyear older. Shawn i am not sure what his effectiveness will be especially towards the end of the season. Cowboys have not won 1 playoff games with better and younger WR yet after being raided by parcells and losing one WR and RB are going to be better and win more than 1 playoff. I do not see it. |
