Super Dome's Roof falls off.Havent found the link yet but just heard that the superdomes roof is now off. My prayers are with the people in the gulf

Nothing on MSNBC here yet. I did hear it was leaking. All I have to say is that if it indeed is off, that's a LOT of people who are going to have a very, very rough next 24 hours.

Brian Williams said there is a hole in the roof.. but not the entire roof.. rain is getting in though and they are moving people around.

Brian Williams: one roof section removed, a second just about to come off. No report on how big they are. Rain reportedly pouring in in some areas. Roof could possibly be comprimised, but doesn't look that way at this point. They're more concerned with the water comming in than the roof comming off. Just updated saying that they're about 1 foot wide sections that came off... and a 3rd just came off.
Certainly doesn't sound like any fun.

here's a blog by the news station that is INSIDE the Superdome....link
It's a 3x5 section of roof that's missing...they can see sky through the hole and some people are wearing raincoats inside because of a heavy mist...
