The stupidity of tonight's opener.....

I think i've been slamming the Redskins all night because i'm some what angry that after 9 months of waiting, THIS is the slop we are given.

From start to finish a very boring game, in which the "Super Bowl Champions" looked somewhat mediocre against a team that basically gave them the game through awfulness.

Add this to the festivities of the evening. Whoa! Michael Strahan came out of a Lombardi Trophy in the middle of the field.....AWESOME!

Bash the Patriots as much as you want, but at least they know how to celebrate! Bob Kraft making speeches with banners being dropped, fireworks exploding above Gillette Stadium and Ozzy Osbourne coming out of a Patriots Helmet.

What do we get from New York? A lame concert with Usher, Keith Urban and Natasha Bedingfield that started at 4 o'clock on NFL Network so 90 percent of us couldn't even see (i was one of the unlucky few).

But on the good side of things at least the game started at 7pm. What is so bad about that NFL and MLB!? Huh? Am i the only one who is sick of staying up until 12:30am to watch games.

When the Dolphins win the Super Bowl this year i expect awesome festivities in Miami featuring Chad Henne coming out of an even BIGGER Lombardi trophy!

They should have started the season opener with the Cowboys @ the Giants.

Now that would have been interesting with the playoff game last year. The redskins are the worst team in that division.

Yeah, did the Redskins realize that this game COUNTS? Preseason is over. You gotta hurry when down 9 with 4 mins left. This isn't time to work on your delays and 6 yard slant pattrns.

Well, it's nice to know that the skins suck after all those a-hole redskins fans invaded our board before last year's season opener.. And they are in total cap hell to boot

While i KIND of agree, the NFL usually does pretty well with it's entertainment and marketing the game through it. It wouldn't be so bad if it was like 2005 when the Stones kicked off the season. But Usher and Keith Urban? Come on i'd rather see the guy who sings that hilarious McCain song!

The thing that made me LOL on that play was that JT would have had a legit shot to stop him after he cut back to the middle if he hadn't taken the play off. You could see it in the way JT reacted. He went after him, Eli got by him, JT gave up, then when Eli cut back JT was like OH CRAP and made a half assed attempt at the end there.
