The only reason he has the street value that he has is because the Falcons are finally starting to realize that Ron Mexico is not as great as they thought he was. They need a viable backup riding the pine and if Schaub walks they will have to replace him.

I'm not saying Schaub won't be great. But, at this juncture of his career we do not know.
