Well were not gettin Manning Jr he signed with Rams

Great move BP way to go get a CB we need. I was really dissappointed when we didnt draft a CB . I really thought we should have taken a CB. Seeing as how its one of the weekest points on the team. I cant believe a good vet CB is cut and we have our thumbs shoved up our *****. BP get your head out of Jerry Jones *** and realize u can get players elsewhere. We took Merling in the 2nd while he could be good I thought we should have taken Tracy Porter, Brandon Flowers, Terrence Wheatley, or Terrell Thomas. And in the 3rd we take Ken Langford when we should have taken Charles Godfrey who I thought was one of the best CB in the draft. Antwaun Molden was still around as well. I am really happy with the moves were making. I just think that we could be making more good moves and were jsut waiting trying to develop talent thats just not there. Our CB have sucked since Surtain and Madison left. And our recievers have sucked pretty much since Duper and Clayton . When are we going to address these needs. Instead we sign a crap WR in London and a shotty Ol in Alleman. We released better players than were bringin in.

I agree,we didnt draft neither a cb safety nor wr and we arent doing much to upgrade those positions especially at cb.

Anyone who has followed this team throughout training camp knew that was never going to be an option. Why?

1. We are rebuilding and looking for first/second/third year players to add to the mix. I know Ricky Manning is not old per se, but he is not an up and coming player. He has probably reached his highest plateau.

2. The regime is pleased with the secondary. They have said it all month. They even traded Travis Daniels, realizing he wouldnt have an opportunity to stick since they liked the guys in front of him.

As for your rant about the draft and the guys we brought in, I find it curious you chose to mention drafting a DB over the two guys that have looked like STUDS throughout training camp (Merling and Langford). Sorry to sound harsh, but anyone second guessing those picks is not watching the games.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, and I respect yours, but we are rebuilding and all the pieces cant all be put in place at once. The DB's will, I assume, be addressed in the upcoming draft. Bill and crew are taking us forward, and fast. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

You people realize you don't rebuild a 1-15 team in one off season, right?

The FO started off the rebuild in the trenches with linemen. Now, as far as I know, the NFL is planning on holding another draft next year. And there's a big, lock-down corner out of Illinois that could be right in our neighbourhood.

Chill. It's not going to be an instant turn around.

What makes you think Manning wanted to come to Miami? It's not like we could have claimed him off waivers. IMO you are getting upset over nothing. Chicago paid Manning a lot of money to challege for one of the starting CB spots and he didn't succeed. In fact, Manning only started when Vasher missed time with an injury and he still couldn't keep the starting job. A CB with only one pass defensed in 16 games is not someone I would think could get fans all hot and bothered because his team didn't pick him up.

Our run defense sucked last year teams dont need to pass if you cant stop the run. The best way to boost your run defense is to draft Dlineman. Not to mention that if you could get a good pass rush you defensive backs dont need to be superstars. Look at the patsies winning superbowls with freakin Troy Brown playing corner.

Not to mention, the new staff can quite possibly develop these CBs that looked weak last year. Coaching is every part of the NFL. I'd rather have these coaches take a crack at what we have before going off and signing more people.

As others have said, we're a team coming off a 1-15 season. Technically, we have no where to go but up and I feel that Parcells and co. stocking up draft picks for next year is wise. As much as I would love to see it, I don't think we break .500. And I'm fine with that. We're in a great position to really get some players next year.

Good. Ricky Manning Jr. Blows. Whats all the fuss about? The guy makes a couple plays in a couple big games and all of the sudden that makes him a consistant solid corner???? He blows.

Thank you. I'm sorry but a lot of these posts show how many idiots are on here. Blaming Parcells for not picking up Ricky Manning Jr and complaining about the draft because we didn't draft a stud in every position of need in ONE draft?

If we dont bring the Lombardi home this season I think we can all agree to chaulk up the Parcels experiment as yet another of Huizenga's failed attempts. We as fans should unite and demand a new front office and coaching staff next season. Maybe they can target a DB in the first round. Look at how well it,s worked out for us with Jason Allen. It truly was a travesisty of justice that he was overlooked for going to Hawaii.
