I'd say its equally immature of anyone who does what she is doing. "Well we lost because Bush made it tough for me waa waa waa". However, on the subject of people bringing up character issues, I find nothing wrong with that at all. We are talking about the future VP of the United States. I want every stone turned, every possible angle covered. We need to know what we are getting ourself into. Bush's joke of a presidency has proven how important it is to ask these questions......

I figured out the confusion. American Thinker, in its rush to piss on a left-leaning news source, is dead wrong. The Africa story has not been debunked whatsoever. Instead, MSNBC incorrectly sourced it to someone, which FOX News did not do. Even Newsmax is admitting that the story has not been proven false yet.

Quote:
The hoax was limited to the identity of the source in the story about Palin _ not the Fox News story itself. While Palin has denied that she mistook Africa for a country, the veracity of that report was not put in question by the revelation that Eisenstadt is a phony.

Well, when the winners strategy was based almost solely on "do you want four more years of Bush?", what would you call it? Of COURSE they lost because of Bush. Heck, even the Obama people wouldn't deny that.

As for finding out everything about a future VP, it sure would have been nice if anyone cared to do the same thing with the future President. Oops...can't do that. Asking about Obama's character or history is considered a "personal attack".

Problem is, when it comes to the media, the burden of proof is on them, not the individual. Either prove it's factual, or don't run it.

I agree with you. I have said that I think the story is false, but it was not proven false by MSNBC incorrectly citing the source.

So nobody questioned his character, huh? And most were personal attacks by the way.... he's a terrorist, a muslim, anti-american, shall I go on, PLEASE! Palin went thru nothing compared to him, whether you'de like to believe it or not.

Being shocked that Palin did not know what the Bush Doctrine was or couldn't name a SC ruling is unfair and vicious. Lying about someone's birthplace, religion, patriotism, etc....fair game. Heck, Thomas Jefferson used to call John Adams a Muslim terrorist all the time!

Sure, pundits and politicians. But how many members of the media treated Obama the way that Palin has been treated? TrooperGate got front page coverage, but you had to go back to page six to find out that an advisor, business partner, and political ally of Obama were all involved in a corruption scandal that was going to send people to jail.

From the American Thinker article:

At this point, it is unclear whether he truly was a source for Cameron who broke the original story
Try to defend MSNBC all you want, they got punked, hoaxed or are just plain stupid. The article's title and content is factual concerning MSNBC. Nothing's changed from what I posted above and remains to be seen whether Fox was too until they choose to reveal their source...as stated in the American Thinker article.

I am not defending MSNBC. But there is an effort by the right to make the entire thing MSNBC's fault, even though reality says otherwise. FOX broke it first. If it turns out to be false, FOX and MSNBC are both wrong. Right now, only MSNBC is in the wrong because of their inaccurate citation.

Reality shows MSNBC was at fault and no one else concerning their reporting. Right are going to make a big deal because MSNBC is liberal.

If Fox happens to have used the same source lefties can jump on the entire thing is Fox's fault and show how this proves how unfair and unbalanced they are.
