I cant comprehend why they would publish the obviously faked (and a terrible job may I add) version when it doesnt really change anything. The real picture still shows the city in smoke.

In light of the news that he doctored the previous image, I would have to suspect this is staged. The child doesnt look dead to me, and it looks to overtly dramatic.

the same guy with the same "dead child" was seen in photos allegely taken hours after

and he was also the "civilian" that had an photo op in 02 and 96 as well :mad:

which reminds me, have you seen the photos of the children that have "died" in israeli bombings, those kids couldnt of been in the building, they were stiffer than a board and greyer than normal

Honestly, I think this has more to do with the evils of beauracracy than anything else. I do not think, though I could be wrong, that it was Reuters explicit attempt to mislead. It appears to me that there was a propagandist photographer in their midst that didnt get caught until after it did its damage.

Photography is an art, not a science. What you call fake the journalist who doctored it would most likely call embelished or enhanced. A photographer isnt meant to document, rather to convey a message.

Sure if he is shooting for arts sake. But a news photographer should be doucmenting not conveying.
