2004 Dolphins Fan Draft (Top 5 Picks)

You cant have a draft without having a mental picture of who you are drafting, so I have supplied visuals of each player - Terrytate...enjoy

And I fixed my pic....Muck

1. Muck - Tampa -
Blue-chip prospect. Assured to be a pro-bowler. Good general NFL knowledge and amazing Dolphins-specific ability. Has the smarts to make it on the next level. Some have him projected as a better color commentator than a facts guy, but has the room to develop in either direction; he's a true 'tweener.' Good "Matrix/Fight Club" style stance. At 24, very young. Great posts-per-day average. Consistent poster. Shows up on game day. Rarely gets knocked around on the board. [EDIT: You also have to admire his quickness. Only 45 minutes to respond to this thread. You can't coach that.]

2. ckparrothead - Tampa -
From the same area as Muck. Quality "erroneous" knowledge (like the car Damon Huard drove in 1998). Has been playing at a high level since 2002. Good draft knowledge, especially on the offensive line. Consistent avatar, but some question his ability to post in high numbers. Low posts-per-day average. Young and raw but will not last beyond #5.

3. Boomer - London -
Has been flying up draft boards due to the upcoming draft. Has shown talent in NFLDFE (NFL Dolphin Fan Europe). Stock has probably peaked, but is an all-around draft guru. Some scouts compare him to Kiper when he first came out. At 30, still relatively young, and works hard for his Draft Reports. Needs to work on tenacity. Has a tendency to not show up at key moments. Raw. Under 1,100 posts. Classic boom-or-bust prospect with plenty of upside.

4. dolfan39 - Riverside, CA -
Amazing numbers. Over 18 posts/day average, doesn't feel the need to always be on-topic. Good game-time experience. Tends to excel in open threads. Hits good zingers on insults but never steps over the line. Stock may be dropping. Blue-chip prospect that should hit 19,000 posts by his rookie season.

5. InFINSible - Naples, FL -
Sometimes disturbing avatars. Prone to drama. Hot-and-cold tendencies. Mean streak. One local official called him "too attached to pets." Passionate and plays with a mean streak. Good numbers - 10.13 in the posts-per-day, 10k total, and has played for 3 years. Shows dedication. When he hits his stride, he can post 20-25 times a day. Workhorse.

if i was san diego...

I'd take boomer no.1 overall.

The guy knows his stuff, and he lives on my side of the pond.

Boomer knows his stuff and I've seen him as high as #2, but there are rumors he has a day job that will keep him from football. He reminds me a lot of a young Mel Kiper mixed with John Clayton. He has a great upside but his dedication has been criticized in the past few moths. If he puts his heart and time into it, he could be good enough to have his own Playstation Football Game (Boomer NFL Football 2006).

I have to disagree though.

I think inFINS should be this year's Mr. Irrelevant.

Would Boomer be best described as a "tweener"?

inFINS has a good motor, high energy, and reminds me of Kyle Turley mixed with Pat Kirwan. He may last as late as #15, depending on needs. He comments with high energy - and you can't coach that. As to general qualities, he's coachable, and not solely dedicated to one subject matter. He also succeeds in the Lounge and Smack forums. Some have concerns about durability. With focus, he could be a pro-bowler.

First of all I wanna thank God.....

I also want to let everyone know how happy I am to be a part of the Finheaven Dolphins.

I just wanna come in and be a part of the team.. I'm not looking to be THE man. There are a lot of great posters here already and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from them. I'm willing to do whatever it takes for the success of the team.

I feel my strengths are, my argumentative nature, and my passion for correcting people. It's been said that sometimes my quick temper and fast typing leads to erroneous facts or hurt feelings but, that's something that I'm looking forward to working closely with the coaches, to see that we get it corrected.

I recently added Dictionary.com to my favorites and I'm halfway through the Thesaurus right now. My goal is to use words that match the correct meaning of what I am trying to convey, and of course, use a variety of them.

I should be completely up to speed before the start of mini camps.

Thanks again, to everyone for coming here today.

As soon as my agent works out the monetary compensation issues, I will be out there giving 110% to the Finheaven team.

Den54 is an unknown quantity at this point
Muck has big stats but alot of that can be attributed from coming from a small school [ITT I think] where he faced inferior competition. His upside can't be denied. FinHeaven would be foolish not to pull a Mike Ditka and throw all caution to the wind to aquire this young stud. This is no boom or bust prospect he has multipile Pro Bowler written all over him.
