Definately a fake. Not even a good one. In addition to the sig obviously being forged, look at the "3". Two different styles of writing.
Sorry Dude.....but if its any consolation, everyone on Finheaven now knows what a great Mom you have.

I am the mother who ordered this jersey. I have every e-mail from Jim Darr and I never agreed to receive any merchandise but the jersey ordered and shown on e-bay. I tried to do something special for my son for Christmas and this man made my Christmas full of tears. All I asked for was what I ordered, what was shown from him on e-bay. As for the signature that was my ignorance but no one should be able to sell forged items without being held accountable. I do not see one comment (except from him) that states this signature is authentic. Now I am not only upset that I received a forged jersey, but I am also angry that this man is trying to say I agreed to something I didn't purchase. Thankfully I save all of my correspondence and can legally state this as an untruth.

Good on you Sue and I suggest you live up to your name and Sue the bugger for all he is worth! That is a brilliant gift, all I got from my Mum was a back hand across the face for being cheeky this Christmas! Ouch, she is visiting for the Holidays and just read what I saw, :smackhead that is her smacking my head! Anyway back to the Topic on hand, I would certainly contact the Postmaster General and document all the communication and bring him down.

Happy New Year and I wish for a speedy resolution for this matter.

Great mom

Your son is one lucky person to have a mom like you. It was a wonderful gesture buying the autographed jersey for him. When we least expect it we are reminded that there all sorts of unscrupulous people in this world. Your integrity and honesty is not in question. I hope this matter gets resolved. A whole lot people have made excellent suggestions especially concerning going through the Post Master General and contacting the credit card company. Through it all, you may not have received the gift you ordered, but it appears that you and your son have the relationship many can only wish for. God bless.

Good for you, Sue. And, if it helps, this certainly is one instance that the old saying "its the thought that counts" rings true. And, it was a great thought.

ebay is full of liars and thieves. Right now I would be calling my credit card company to protest the charges. It's your only hope

If the one that he showed you is not the one you received then he's breaching the Consumer Guarantees Act and a whole lot of other laws as well. Keep his e-mails, keep receipts, credit card bills etc. Contact E-Bay. Also, it should have come with a certificate of authenticity -- If it did not and the site said it did then that breaks a whole new set of laws as well.

I feel sorry for you man, this sucks and I've been screwed on the internet before, but this is Christmas, damn!

Funny, I've done plenty of complaints and I always get my money back in 10-15 days. I use paypal all the time and they are NOT a scam.

Back to the topic, nothing I can really add, just like others I have signed stuff from Marino and what you have is fake.

by disagreeing with anyone. Ebay and paypal take a very tough stance on this type of circumstance, and I have had a close to personal experience with something similar regarding ebay. My nephew (too young to know better) did something not too great on ebay. He was sued and the police also came after him for fraud. He lives in Florida, and their laws regarding fraud were how much the purchase price was. He was actually facing jail time, but since he had never done anything else wrong, he was sentenced to community service and a fine.

This is a serious offense and I would contact a lawyer. Many lawyers will give free consultations through the American Bar Association also. If you can't afford it, go to state.pa.us and research what the laws are in PA about being defrauded.

Your first steps would be to complain to both ebay and paypal. If paypal finds fraudulent activity by this guy, they'll refund the money out of his paypal account and close it permanently.

Hope it helps.

My little brother bought a laptop from ebay last year and the seller sent him the laptop with no monitor on it (strange). He ended up straightening it out with the seller and received his money back. I just thought I would give an example of how crooked some E-bay sellers can be...
