When I heard the question replayed tonght, didn't seem bad at all. He asked Dan if he was concerned whether or not he was being offered a figurehead position (words to that effect).

Wayne kinda went off.

I agree, I just think Armando could have possibly phrased it better.

Either way, he was still probably going to hear it from Wayne because of what happened up in Buffalo.

But it is a ? that had to be asked like it or not.
Like I said...there are many other questions that could have been more valuable.

Marino, what is your vision for this team?

Marino, what are your initial responsibilities?

Marino, what is your work schedule?

Marino, what project are you going to be focussing on first to make this a better team?

There is a cynical way to ask questions that will cast a shadow on the move and there are more objective ways to ask the same things.

It did need to be asked. Maybe not that way. But the topic is all over the place (Marino and figurehead).

Anyway, I got faith in our boy.

We asked most of those questions. The ones he's stayed away from was trying to describe what kind of changes he would make.

The question did not have to be asked like it was asked, no it didn't . Armando did not have to tell Wayne it was a question that had to be asked after Wayne was done with his reply. Wayne only went into the "High 5 bunch" behavior after Armando tried to put the owner of the Miami Dolphins in his place. Armando should have taken the high road he seems to imply he invented.

By the way, his place was the very seat Mr. Armando was sitting in at the very moment he was attempting to embarrass Wayne! And as far as Wayne not taking the high road that day. He has been on that road with reporters in Miami since he arrived in Miami.

Reporters like Armando, and to a large extent like you, seem to forget without the Dolphins there would be nothing for you guys to be reporting on. You and others seem to feel the Dolphins owe you something, when in fact you owe them everything, so to speak.

The negative approach is a simply and easy path to take, if you feel comfortable taking that path, all the best.

I think as reporter you do a very good job, except when you try and make it personal with the Dolphins. Especially the players you said from day one would never make it on the roster.

You claim Wayne shouldn't be worrying about what reporters have to say. Well I say "Big O" you shouldn't worry about what he is doing, and how he goes about it. The mans track record is amazing. You know what I mean?

First of all I don't think they owe me anything. And I'm the first to say Wayne is a great owner. I've said it a 100 times on my show (Baseball team championship, hockey team Cup final) He's a great owner, but I still feel he's the one guy that shouldn't worry or care what 2 reporters are doing in a bar in Buffalo, that's petty. He's bigger than
that. And what am I suppose to do when someone asks me if a player is going to make it or not on this team? Stay on the fence and not dare to have an opinion? Sorry not my style..It's my job to give an opinion. Your thinking like a fan not a member of the media.

Yea, I can see why he would not get into some of those specifics...it would not be appropriate for some of the current players to find out that they are history that way.

LOL! I hope you keep replaying Wayne stepping in...I actually enjoyed him showing some fiestiness. We need some passion at the top of this organization. And hopefully, Marino can bring both passion to win and some old fashioned football smarts to boot.

But, I am not one looking for some hero to ride in and save the day. We need more talent on this team. And the coaches have to do a better job of getting them to perform at the highest level.

Armando was going to get his no matter what. It just so happened that by asking the question he did, while somewhat legit, it opened up the floor for Wayne to fire away at him
(on a live level no less)

The Dolphins and the Media is a mutual relationship because without each other, it would be very hard to exist.

The media needs the Dolphins obviously to have something to cover.

The Dolphins need the media to get fans' attention, and their excitement up. The media promotes the team, the players, and it helps the team get exposure for the grand scheme of things.......... to sell tickets.

It's a mutual relationship

I'm just hoping Spielman makes the right moves, while Wayne opens up the wallet to purchase some serious talent on the offensive side of the ball.

In one way I agree, Wayne shouldn't have to worry about such things, but Orlando, he obviously is, or rather was. Now if you want ignore why he acted the way he did, that's your option. To me as a life long Dolphins fan (like you), when Wayne is concerned I'm concerned. He's the owner of my favorite NFL team, really all sports team. I think that is what you may be missing here, and what Armando may be missing here as well. I don't think Wayne is an owner to fly off the handle like that. You obviously know him better than me. What do you think about that?

I think when you think something you need to speak your mind, all good reporters do that, as I said I feel you are good reporter. What I don't like, specifically in your case, is when you laugh about those players, or make jokes at their expense. Savvy?

Yes I know you are paid to be give your opinion, the problem I have, speaking as a Dolphins homer, that opinion is entirely too negative entirely too often for my taste.

For the record I do not listen to your show unless I have no other choice. I have to listen to you sometimes to get my Dolphins fix. That's not meant to be a slam, simply telling you what I think.
