A crying shame. All those years he was kicking our butts when they were losing their SB's, I always wished him the worst. Only now that I'm a parent do I understand how good of a guy he is and now wish his family the best.

My thoughts go out to the Kelly family.

Hopefully this will lead to awareness and an eventual cure of Krabbe Leukodystrophy.

May God be with the Kelly family at this time! We can all rest assured that Hunter is now home w/ the almighty father, playing football, running and playing w/ other children and finally free to be the child he has alwys been at heart. No pain just an eternity to be without pain and a guardian angel to those whom he has touched in many ways. God Bless Hunter, the Kelly's, the friends and families and all those who helped to make Hunter's life the best it could be for the all to brief time that he was here.

I never knew the Kelly's, as most of us here did not. But I feel a real since of loss in my heart for the family he has left behind. For there is no reason to feel sorrowful for Hunter as he is where we all can hope to be some day in the future. To all who knew him GOD BLESS!!!!! And play hard Hunter!!!!

Dam that sucks. Puts much in perspective. I am home with my 7 yr old son today. Reading this, I caught myself thinking, that could be my son. Man that would wreck my world. I feel for the Kelly family, there is no preparing for this, even if you know they are ill. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with the Kelly family. May God give them the strength necessary to deal with this tragic loss.

Words cannot express how most of us feel for Jim and his family...Some things don't have boundaries like following different teams or having different political philosophies..

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jim...

This is unbelievably sad. I know that in the bigger picture, more parents lose a child more often than all of us care to think. But it hurts so much when it happens to someone you feel connected to, the way I (and I'm sure many other UM supporters here) felt connected to him.

I was proud of him when he went into the HOF, both for his accomplishment and for the way he set his priorities. Now I pray for him and his family to have the strength to get through this, and to understand that Hunter is in a better place now, healthy and waiting to embrace them when their time comes.

I hated Jim Kelly, i couldn't stand him in his playing days. He was a great QB and he beat us many a time, but i hated him. However, this is really tragic. I just saw it on Yahoo and it's awful, i'm sorry for Jim and all of the Kelly family as not even our arch-enemy something deserved something like this
