But within four months my son was diagnosed with a fatal disease called Krabbe Leukodystrophy. They told us to take him home, and make him comfortable. And from that day, my wife and I decided to fight this disease. And so, we made it our lifelong commitment to make sure that kids all over the world don't suffer like my son does.
Since the day I was selected, I prayed to God that my son would be here with me today. God has granted me that blessing. It has been written throughout my career that toughness is my trademark. Well, the toughest person I've ever met in my life is my hero, my soldier, my son, Hunter. I love you, buddy.
Thank you, Canton, thank you Buffalo and God bless. "
RIP Hunter. God bless!
He is a class act, no doubt about that.

From those of us from the Hebrew side may we light a candle and sit shiva in his honor. Jim is a very very strong man, and he will be rewarded more for his greatness off the field then what he did on the field!!!!

My Prayers for the Kelly Family

Jim Kelly and his wife were absolutely devoted and loving parents for their son. News crews covered their son's battle with his illness. Each and everytime that story aired you could see how much they loved each other. The news is heartbreaking. They were blessed to have each other for those few years. However, I understand the pain and sorrow are immeasurable. My prayers are with the Kelly family. God bless.

As much as I hated the logo on the side of his helmet during games, he is a stand up guy. My wishes go out to him and his family during this saddening event.

I feel total sadness for Jim and Jill Kelly. My heartfelt prayers go out to them and the spirit will no doubt go on for them. What they have experienced is the ultimate meaning of life. Having to deal with such an issue let along spending all kinds of energy and money to fight the disease, in house and for everyone else. God bless Jim and Jill Kelly.
