We've been following the saga of your high-fiving. I guess you really didn't express yourself very clearly when you claimed that by stating:

"Cole and I were in a bar and when Clinton Portis, who is a former UM player, broke off a tackle-breaking run, I celebrated the run by high-fiving Cole. I attended UM, root for UM, and more importantly, am friends with Portis.
That's what I was celebrating ... "

You really meant:

"I root for him to do well and so I want his team to do well. I know he was injured because I talked to him on the
cell that day. The run I refered to was by Anderson and obviously you believe I was talking about Portis."

Surprising for a professional writer to be so inaccurate in communicating his thoughts. Odd though, I was checking the stats for that game and saw that Anderson's biggest run was 8 yards. Hardly anything to jump up and high five about. I saw where Q. Griffin had a 22 yarder though. Maybe you REALLY meant Q. Griffin and had a lapse in your ability to express yourself again? ROFLMAO....

It's all over the internet. Great job Armando. Wayne's been sent a link to one of the threads where this exchange has been published.

Good luck!!

Edited for typos.
Fight the good fight, bro...I actually got lied to by Armando also!

Here are my emails:

Mr. Salguero,

There is speculation that Mr. Huizenga was speaking to
you in his press conference when he commented on 2
reporters "high fiving in Buffalo".

Any truth to this? If so, why were you so jubilant?

Thanks for your time.

His reply:

Wayne was indeed speaking to me because I asked the question.

Thanks,
Armando

What was the high five episode in Buffalo all about?

I high-fived a run by Clinton Portis, who is a former University of
Miami
player and a friend. I attended the University of Miami. I did it on my
own
time away from the team. I was not rooting for or against the dolphins.

I have always like reading his columns for years, but now I have to think when he writes something about the Finz, is he being bias or not?

I believe if anything, he got caught, needs to get some of that perfume that Lebaturd said the Dolphins FO is using, or get a plumber to unclogg his mistake!

This just keeps getting better and better. He told the same lie to so many people!?!

Him and his drunk friend must have come up with that story while still at the bar....

Would give them the opportunity to corroborate their story. Coles knows he's in as much crap as Salguero for Salguero's lies.

Still even if they both stick to the story, " they are both professional beat writers, they are not suppose to make mistakes in identifying players or circumstances. That is what they get paid for!"

The BS about Portis running? He said on his second e-mail that he talked to Portis before and knew he was not playing in the game and that Mike thought he meant Portis when talking about Anderson.

So who were YOU high-fiving about in the Buffalo Bar? Portis, Anderson, or Griffin?

Fantastic thread. Get your stories straight now, Wayne's watching.

I haven't emailed Coles...initially I just wanted to get an idea as to why Huizenga was so jacked. Here is a guy with billions and he looked like he was ready to climb into the audience and pummel someone.

That is why I sent the initial email to Salguero. At first he ducked the high five question. I wasn't about to let him off the hook so I sent him another one.

I never intended this to take on a life of its own, but when I saw that Mike got the same BS email that I did, well, it was time to expose Armando.

One thing for sure, he can't say that Mike was out to get him. He has told the same inaccurate story twice (at least) now.
