I'm a psychologist. I'm also a free-lance writer...I'm in the middle of a new book as we speak. One other thing....I formulate health products. I have a new one called, "ImmuneGuard," coming out soon - look for it on TV. As you can see, I'm a bit of a workaholic. When I'm not working though, my favorite hobby is the Miami Dolphins.

I've been a fan since 1983. I really didn't care much for football before that. I grew up in Indianapolis and the Cincinnati Reds was my great passion. Like a lot of people, I grew tired of the spoiled rotten baseball players and eventually lost interest in the Reds.

Watching Dan Marino fire the long balls to Duper and Clayton was the most exciting thing I had ever seen. I was immediately hooked. Marino is my all-time favorite athlete. I live near Palm Beach, Florida, so I visit the training camp and see the Dolphins quite often. My son, who is 18, is also a huge Dolphins fan. It's great to be able to share the Dolphins experience with him.

I hope we have a great season this year. It's good to be able to share the experience with my fellow FinHeaveners.

I run a small marketing firm in Rochester NY. We market and supply financial products for CPA firms, attourneys, banks etc. Became a Dolfin fan for two basic reasons. First but not formost was the existance of Dan & the Mark brothers. That offense was too much fun to watch. Defense on the other hand was offensive . The other reason is much more fun. I live in the heart of Bills country and my Dad was a fairly big Bills fan. I am a bit of a instigator so the opportunity to rub the locals and family the wrong way was the other reason to support the teal and orange.
:goof:

By the way great thread.

I started following the Phins around '92. I didn't know much about football and watched a Monday Night Football game between the Steelers and the Browns. I thought "hmm, this is a lot more exciting than baseball". I didn't know which team to be a fan of-so I narrowed it down between the Cowboys, Saints, and Dolphins. The reason: all 3 of those teams had players who graduated from my high school--Kenny Willis, kicker; Vince Buck, db; and Mark Higgs, rb. Higgs is actually pretty cool. He hates Dan though so when I got a chance to meet Higgs, I asked him why he hated him. He said that when the O.C. would call in a running play, Dan would change it in the huddle to a pass. I guess when you're the greatest QB of all time, you've got the right to run whatever play you want.

Anyway, I work for a natural gas transmission company headquartered in Kentucky. Not a chief, just an indian.

Bummer, the question was not "what is your favorite type of entertainment", but what you do for a living and how you became a Phin fan.

I work for the 3rd largest Real Estate Investment Trading (REIT) company in the U.S. IMPAC Funding Corporation here in Newport Beach, CA. I am a Mortgage Loan Purchaser. I purchase mortgage loan from our sellers from around the states. I have been with this company 7 years. I became a Dolphins fan at age 12. That year we went to the Super Bowl XVII in Pasdena Rose Bowl where we played the Washington Redskins. I went to the Super Bowl. It was the most exciting experience in my young life. But, we lost. I cried so hard on my Dad's shoulder. But, I promised to myself I will always be a Dolphins no matter what. I am now 33 going on 34 on May 18th an I have been a fan for 22 years and counting.

Go Phins Go!!

My dad who is italian but grew up in NY, was station in an US air force base in PR and for some reason they decided back in 72 to show al the dolphins games on TV that year. The games were actully shown the following saturday after they had been played on sunday and since they were so good I really started to like them and I was rooting for them all year. When they playoff came, they showed the games live including the superbowl. I was a kid then and we used to play outside on CONCRETE and I was always Bob G playing QB.

Ozzy rules!!

I own a gift shop and arcade on the Boardwalk on Daytona Beach. I have been a Dolphin fan all my life. Can't remember why. I just know i love my fins. Grew up in Indiana and as soon as I graduated from Purdue moved to Florida so I could at least watch the fins on tv. Now I have season tickets(12yrs) on the 30, nine rows up. WOOOHOOO.
