A New Kind Of GameHi members,
There is a game here: www.thewargame.tk in which you control a country. It is much fun and signups just started. Free text-based online game run from a cool forum turn-based modern day, modern units, every nation has a unique unit list new players are always welcome unit list example: German Units Ground Units: Leopard 2A6 EX Tank Unit: The Leopard 2A6 EX is the newest tank in the German Army. The Leopard II A6 EX is one of the best tanks in the world. Like all tanks it is best used against enemy tanks and is weak against enemy anti-tank and aircraft units. (Cost: 20) Leopard 2A5 Tank Unit: The Leopard 2A5 is the main tank in the German Army. It is strong and well armored.. Like all tanks it is best used against enemy tanks and is weak against enemy anti-tank and aircraft units. (Cost: 18 ) Leopard 2A4 Tank Unit: The Leopard 2 is Germany’s advanced tank and the A4 version is an early version of this excellent MBT. It has been superseded by two more advanced variants but it is still deadly. (Cost: 16) Leopard 1A5 Tank Unit: The Leopard I1A5 is older than the Leopard II but it is still a good tank. Tanks are best used against enemy tanks. (Cost: 12) Army Recon Unit: The Army Recon Unit is made up of 8x8 Luchs Armored Recon Vehicles and 4x4 Fennek Recon Trucks. Having recon units in your attacks can increase your chances of victory. (Cost: 10, is a recon unit) Jaguar II Anti-Tank Unit: The Jaguar II is a tracked armored vehicle that carries a HOT-II anti-tank missile launcher. This unit is very good against enemy tanks and mechanized infantry but bad against enemy infantry and air units. (Cost: 8 ) Marder Mechanized Infantry Unit: This is a normal infantry unit but they fight and travel in the Marder Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Mechanized Infantry are good against most units expect air units. (Cost: 14) Fuchs Mechanized Infantry Unit: This unit is the same as the above unit expect these troops travel in the less armored, 6x6 ‘Fuchs’ transport vehicle. This unit also contains the Dingo series of 4x4 armored infantry carriers. Mechanized Infantry are good against all enemy units expect for air units. (Cost: 6) Infantry Unit: These are the basic combat soldiers of the army. This unit has no vehicles to use in combat, only trucks to bring them to and from battlefields, during a battle they fight on foot. They are armed with assault rifles, grenades and light-machineguns, but this unit also includes several Heavy Machine Guns, Mortars and light AT and AA missiles. Foot infantry are good against anything but tanks and mechanized infantry. These are the most versatile of units. (Cost: 5) Infantry Weapons Unit: This unit has the support weapons of the infantry. Mortars, AGLs, AT-missiles, Man-portable SAMs and heavy machine-guns. They are best used supporting normal infantry units or in a defensive stance. Infantry and Infantry weapons units are the most versatile of all ground units. (8 ) Jaeger Infantry Unit: Jaeger troops are special mechanized infantry who are better trained than normal mechanized infantry units. These elite assault troops ride in Marder IFVs but also have Fuchs and Dingo vehicles. (Cost: 10) Paratrooper Infantry Unit: Paratrooper Infantry are the same as normal ‘Infantry Units’ but they can jump from the C-160 transport planes to paradrop onto enemy units. Paratroopers have all the same advantages and disadvantages of normal infantry. This unit also utilizes the Wiesel series of light armored vehicles. (Cost: 12, can parajump from C-160 Transport Aircraft Units, can be carried inUH-2D Assault Transport Helicopter Units) GSG9 Commando Unit: GSG9 are Germany’s elite commandos. They can perform any of the missions listed under the ‘Special Forces Rules’ section of the INFO topic. (Cost: 15) Gepard Anti-Aircraft Unit: Gepard is a tracked vehicle that carries 30mm anti-aircraft cannons. This unit is very good against enemy helicopter and aircraft units. But it isn’t good against high flying aircraft. (Cost: 7) Roland Anti-Aircraft Unit: Roland is a tracked vehicle that carries anti-aircraft missiles. This unit is very good against enemy helicopter and aircraft units. (Cost: 10) ASRAD Anti-Aircraft Unit: The ASRAD is a new German short-range anti-aircraft missile. It is mounted on the small Wiesel tracked chassis. (Cost: 8 ) Towed Artillery Unit: Towed artillery are the standard truck-towed howitzers that many of you are common with. They are good against any ground unit at long range but they defeintly need to be protected as they are weak against any unit attacking them. (Cost: 6) PzH 2000 Self-Propelled Artillery Unit: The PzH 2000 is a artillery gun mounted on an armored vehicle to make it travel faster and be protected. Artillery is good against any ground unit as long as it’s protected. (Cost: 10) LARS Rocket Artillery Unit: The ‘LARS’ vehicle is a 6x6 truck with a rocket artillery launcher mounted on the back of it. This unit is similar to the PzH 2000 artillery but rockets are better against enemy infantry and tanks. but is still weak against any attacking force. (Cost: 8 ) MARS Rocket Artillery Unit: The ‘MARS’ system is like the above unit but newer and more capable. Rocket artillery is best used at long range pre-attack bombardments. (Cost: 12) Engineer Unit: Engineer units can greatly help offensive and defensive operations, a player should have engineer units with all of their major operations. Engineer units include trucks, bull-dozers, engineer-tanks and other specialized engineering vehicles. They can help build defenses and help clear enemy defenses. (Cost: 12) Air Units: Alpha Jet 2 A Attack Unit: The Alpha Jet 2 A is the attack version of this handy little aircraft. It carries anti-ground weapons. (Cost: 7) Alpha Jet 2 F Fighter Unit: The F version of the Alpha Jet 2 is the newest plane in the German Air force. It is small and light like the older versions but it has new engines and electronics to make it a potent defense fighter. It carries only anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 8 ) Mako Fighter/Attack Unit: The MAKO is Germany’s advanced new light-assault aircraft. It is small but is agile and has some of the latest fly-by-wire systems. It can carry a small load of anti-ground weapons or several anti-air missiles. (Cost: 10) F-4 Phantom II Fighter Unit: The F-4 Phantom is an older American plane but the German Air force still use it very successfully. It is a dedicated fighter. (Cost: 7) Tornado IDS Attack/Fighter Unit: The Tornado IDV can carry both anti-aircraft and anti-ground weapons. It is good against all units but when its carrying ground attack weapons it isn’t as good against enemy aircraft. (Cost: 12) A400M Air Transport Unit: The A400M is an unarmed transport aircraft. Each unit can carry 1 ground unit, they may also drop Paratrooper Infantry units as paratroopers. (Cost: 14, can carry 1 ground unit) BR 1150 Atlantic Anti-Ship/Submarine Patrol Unit: The Atlantic Br 1150 carries anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons. It is bad against enemy aircraft. (Cost: 12) A310 AEW AWACS Early Warning Aircraft Unit: The A310 AEW has a very powerful RADAR mounted on it. It can detect enemy aircraft from very far away. The A310 AEW has no weapons so it should probably be escorted by fighters. When a player has a Early Warning Aircraft Unit in a battle he gives his aircraft all a better chance of winning. (Cost: 18, can help friendly aircraft in a battle) UH-1D Assault Transport Helicopter Unit: The UH-1D is a version of the famous ‘Huey’ transport chopper. Each UH-1D unit can carry 1 Paratrooper Infantry Unit. (Cost: 6, can carry 1 Paratrooper Infantry Unit) CH-53G Helicopter Transport Unit: The CH-53G is the main heavy transport helicopter of the German army. It can carry any Infantry Unit. (Cost: 10, carries 1 Infantry Unit of any type) BO-105P Attack Helicopter Unit: The BO-105P carries anti-tank missiles and rocket pods. Its good against any ground unit but it carries no anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 8 ) PAH-2 Tiger Attack Helicopter Unit: The Tiger is an advanced anti-tank attack helicopter. It carries advanced anti-tank missiles and rockets. (Cost: 12) BO-105N Naval Anti-Ship/Anti-Submarine Helicopter Unit: The BO-105N is the Naval version of the BO-105 helicopter. It carries good anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons. (Cost: 10, can be based on carriers) Aerial Recon Unit: This unit has special CL-289 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle scout planes and recon versions of the Tornado to greatly assist battlefield intelligence. The CL-289 is a small remote-controlled plane that can scout ahead into enemy lines. Having an aerial recon unit in your operations greatly increases your chance for success. (Cost: 12) A400 Air-Refueling Unit: This unit is a special unarmed aircraft that can refuel other aircraft mid-air. Each air-refueling unit can support up to 5 air units in a single strike/operation. They give these units unlimited range but the air-refueling unit must be in the air during the entire operation and it is vulnerable to enemy attack. (Cost: 20, is air-refueling unit) Tornado EW Aircraft Unit: This modified Tornado aircraft carries anti-SAM missiles and jamming systems. Electronics warfare (EW) aircraft are best used to support larger aerial attacks. They are defenseless against enemy fighters. (Cost: 16, is an EW unit) Naval Units: ’Sachsen’ Class Frigate: Germany’s newest Frigate class carries advanced anti-air and anti-submarine weapons. (Cost: 20) ’Brandenburg’ Class Frigate: This class of ships are good for anti-ship and anti-aircraft battles. The Brandenburg is a good multi-purpose ship. (Cost: 18 ) ’Bremen’ Class Frigate: The Bremen class carries many anti-submarine weapons. It is a good sub hunter. (Cost: 16) ’Lutjens’ Class Destroyer: The Lutjens are older ships in the German Navy but they still carry sufficient anti-ship and anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 28 ) Meko Class Corvette: The Meko is an advanced new corvette in the German Navy. It carries advanced anti-air and anti-submarine weapons. (Cost: 15) ’Albatros’ Class Missile Patrol Boat: The Albatros is a large patrol boat that carries anti-ship missiles. (Cost: 8 ) ’Gepard’ Class Missile Patrol Boat: The Gepard is almost the same ship as the above ‘Albatros’ but it has newer electronics and RADAR. (Cost: 12) Transport Ship: The Transport Ship is unarmed and has no armor. It can carry 2 ground units but only from one friendly harbor to another or to a beachhead that has been secured. (Cost: 16, carries 2 ground units) ’Rommel’ Class Landing Ship: The Rommel Class Landing Ship can carry 1 ground unit to an enemy beach. It has only light anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 16) Submarines: Type 206A Diesel Attack Submarine: The Type 206A is a small diesel powered attack submarine. It carries anti-ship and anti-submarine torpedoes and is best used in defense actions. (Cost: 14) Type 212A Diesel Attack Submarine: This diesel powered sub is larger than the Type 206A and it carries better weapons. Equipped with advanced electronics and the AIP system, this is one of the most deadly diesel submarines ever designed. (Cost: 20) Type 214 Diesel Attack Submarine: An even more advanced version of the Type 212, the 214 has much longer under-water range and even more powerful sensors and weapons. (Cost: 24)
