FinFanInBuffalo's week 10 Losman report

After a month long hiatus, Losman returned after Holcomb got hurt. JP looked good in the game. This game demonstated the difference in the two QBs. Holcomb is much more conservative. He had a very high completion %. Losman's completion % wasn't great but he made the big plays. Two really nice long passes to Lee Evans were the difference in the game. This is the most that Evans has been involved for weeks.

Buffalo is crazy if they don't leave Losman in for the rest of the season. He will stuggle some when teams can game plan for him, but they cannot finish this season without Losman getting all of the reps that he can.

I agree with this totally. Good post. If they put Holcomb back in, something is wrong and the house of management needs to be cleaned.

Good post FFIB(holy sh!t, we agree on something  ), The Bills need to do what the Giants did with Eli last year--forget trying to salvage the season and get your young QB battle-tested. Buffalo's remaining schedule is brutal, which will give JP a plethora of experience against good teams, gearing him up for next year. They need to use this time to get Roscoe more involved as well. If Losman can improve throughout the year the Bills will come into 2006 with offensive weapons such as: Losman(no longer a deer in the headlights), McGahee, Moulds, Evans, Parrish, and Kevin Everett(don't forget the TE from the "U" that we drafted)...not to mention the return of Spikes and Edwards to our D. The Bills aren't going anywhere this year but I can honestly say I'm excited about watching them develop offensively. Either way, we'll know whether JP's the right man for the job or not.

If JP proves to be good enough, the Bills can concentrate their draft on the offensive and defensive lines. The skill positions will be set. I expect it will take a season or two for JP to be fully comfortable and a season or two to solidify the OL. 2006 could be a playoff year with 2007 the first year they make a serious run.

The Fins need a QB. If they are forced to fill that spot with a draft pick, they will be a year or two behind the Bills. If they can fill their QB hole with a vet or young QB that has been around for a couple of years (can you say Brees or Rivers?), they will be in good shape as early as next year. Their OL is looking better and Brown, Williams, Chambers, McMichael, & Booker gives them a solid group at the skill positions.

Could be very interesting for a few years.
