JP is the cocky one? Have you met him before?
Last I checked, Ronnie and Rivers are the ones who HELD OUT for a bigger contract. If JP is labeled as a bust with not even a full year as a starter behind a crappy OL, and was picked 20 spots after someone who's played in one game and looked like crap in, that makes both busts, no? You can't have it both ways, slam JP all you want, but if you think Rivers is the next coming of God you're in for a rude awakening.

You see it is not just JPs inability to make a play. It is also the fact that he did that while having a pair of good receivers and an excellent running back. The oline was not as bad as you guys make it out to be. He had an offense ready for him and he had a defense, it is not like he had to start for an expansion team. He had a year to sit on the bench and learn, he came in and did nothing.
But I think the most telling sign is that the guys in the locker room don't like him. Former teamates don't like him. Not even his roomate likes him. Those sound like bad signs for a young QB. |

I'm not ready to call him a bust yet. He's on his way though. Everyone thought Brees was a bust and look at him.

Someone with 8 career starts, I find it hard to call him a bust, atleast give him a full season, jeez. Can't wait to see the Phins draft a QB, so i can call him a bust after he plays 8 games and isnt 8-0.

As said, its a discussion, put some points on the plate so therefore we can discuss. Have you seen him play games in college? NFL? Did you watch him last week? What was it you liked / disliked about Rivers? I for one have seen JP play at least 4 complete games this year, plus 1 live at home. I can discuss and put some points why I think he's average...of course not a bust yet becaues he's never started all 16 games, but I have some points I can throw at you. So lets try again: What makes you think he's a bust/sucks?

Miami's secondary could have made Stephen J. Hawking look like Fran Tarkenton out there this year.....big deal. Losman was invisible for the second half.

![]() Losman honestly hasn't played exceptionally well in really any of the games he's come in. He's been decent, but not great. Sometimes he's been down right bad, but still 8 games in it's hard to call someone a bust. Hell Rick Mirer had a productive first year and he ended up being a bust, and John Elway didn't have a great 83 season but turned out to be a Hall of Famer....you just dont know. |
