As said, its a discussion, put some points on the plate so therefore we can discuss. Have you seen him play games in college? NFL? Did you watch him last week? What was it you liked / disliked about Rivers? I for one have seen JP play at least 4 complete games this year, plus 1 live at home. I can discuss and put some points why I think he's average...of course not a bust yet becaues he's never started all 16 games, but I have some points I can throw at you.

So lets try again: What makes you think he's a bust/sucks?
The fact that if you label Losman a bust, then you have to label Rivers a bust at this point. Both entering their 3rd season, and Losman has had more playing time (although on a worse team).

Losman is much farther along than Rivers right now, who knows how they'll both end up in the future. But if you think Losman is a bust, considering he's had more playing time (and played better in limited time, not by much at times though) than someone drafted 20 spots higher, that makes Rivers a "bust" too.

Neither should be called a "bust" as of yet. While I agree that you can certainly pick up on qualities and negativities of quarterbacks even in their early years, often times even the greatest quarterbacks struggle early on.

Factual examples:

Joe Theismann, in his first 5 years at quarterback, was 369 for 768 for 4967 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 40 interceptions. That's a 60.4 QB rating.

The rest of his career he was 1675 for 2834, for 20239 yards, 130 tds, 98 ints, which is an 82 passer rating. Pretty large improvement.

Dan Fouts is the best example of all, however. In his first 5 years, Fouts completed 585 of 1094 for just 7658 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 57 interceptions, and whispers were that San Diego would get rid of him.

After that, however, he was 2712 for 4510 for 35382 yards, 220 touchdowns, and 185 interceptions for a 84.1 passer rating the rest of the way, and included in that were two 4700+ yard seasons

And where/when do I disagree with that? I had simply asked people if they thought JP was a bust because it seems as if he's headed that way due to his teammates losing their confidence in him and Kelly H. taking most of the snaps. Then you came back, safe to say then that Rivers is a bust too. I just wanted to know why you would think Rivers is a bust, simple as that. Have you seen Rivers play? What is it about him that you would consider being a bust?

I didn't know Loserman was getting thrown under the bus by his teammates.

I don't think teams can let players make decisions. Otherwise Jim Bates would be the Phins coach. Losman has not been given a fair chance, and most Bills fans would rather of lost with Losman as the Qb, than won with Holcomb.

This is hillarious a chargers fan posting a qoute from a buffalo newspaper about jp being a bust and having his teammates turn on him. Then to have buffalo fans respond by talking trash about miami like a miami fan posted it. WOW:eek:
Priceless
But what would you expect from buffalo fans
