How long do you expect Faneca to stay around? Im guessing about as long as Favre, 1 maybe 2 yrs. And with the Salary cap situation, it's going to be hard to resign your own players. Im not bangin on the Jets, but Ive seen our previous FO's do the same thing. It reaks of desperation to me.

There's a better chance Parcells is coaching by the end of the year that the Jets going 4-12 baring diastrous injuries and if we have diastrous injuries that would probably be enough to bring them back anyway.

Faneca is 31 not 37, as long as he stays healthy he has at least 2-3 more top years left in him and at least 5 plus years of playing good football.

We have re-signed our key guys for the upcoming seasons, by the time Mangold, harris, revis are up we'll have more cap room. It's not like we spend like this every offseason.

When have you seen your previous FOs do the same things? I hope the Jets are desperate to win but they are not desperate to save their jobs. We have a good young core and they added needed pieces around them. They spent more than I would have liekd but those were the going rates. The Giants had a similar offseason 3 years ago, it took 3 years to see the end result but you don't just sign guys for the upcoming season. This is a process, we better be good this year but it's not all or nothing this year.

Having not seen this game as i have no NFL network, how did his performace compare to Mayo i wonder.

the jet payroll is close to 150Million this year if they go 4-12 someone is getting fired.

4-12 this year would be unacceptable after all the talent they added unless it came with a bunch of significant injuries. That said, I would hate to see another CS pushed out the door in 3 years even if they went 4-12 two seasons in a row. I still think Mangini can get the job done, but another 4-12 would have me leaning the other way.

I think you may be right though, even if the owner said their jobs aren't in question. 4-12 followed by 4-12 would change Woody's mind quick.

Gholston is a one trick pony. He has a really good swim move and that is it. He can't cover for garbage no hip flex that a good OLB needs. He might be a good DE rusher but that will be it.

As much as I hate the Jets, Gholston will be a bad mutha-fu*@er! Yeah he's raw but I'd love to have him...just not at the expense of not having Jake. You gotta admit he's super entertaining to watch. Guarantee he gets a handfull of pro-bowls before he retires!
