the pats cut poteat today, i know he is not a starter but he could be added for depth? is he better than eddie jackson?

what makes u think jackson is not going to get cut ? try asking, is he better than a cb that has a good chance of making the team.

I think it's funny that even though we had several threads asking if people were going to ask about every single player who is cut, and still, we get them. I've never even herd of the dude.

Came out of Pitt University (still called Pitt back then) Drafted by Pittsburgh barely made the roster as a KR/PR saw limited action as a CB. Has bounced around ever since.

I"ve got to speak up for my man Hank. He has a Super Bowl ring with us and has been there when we needed him. Smart guy IMO and tackles well. Coverage needs some work but , hey , Saban is a DB genius , right ? He also was one of about 9 players who won the off-season workout awards . Hank has always been on our speed dial (came in mid season both years he played with us) but this year I believe he gets picked up. You guys could do alot worse.

NE Matt is right.. I don't see why we can't just cut a player Saban knows he is going to definitely cut next week anyway.. Then bring this Poteat guy in tomorrow and throw him in the rams game to see if Saban sees something in him. Also lets see how he matches up in an all out practice if possible.

It can't hurt is all I am sayin' .

what is with the talk of signing pats rubbish, we dont want them and if we want people who are but then wait for the major ones in like a week when everyone has to get down to the normal roster size, then we can pick up some quality players not unheard ofs and UDFA who will likely suck and get cut by us as well.
