Hey Jets, Have Fun with Tony Wise

From Scout.com

Quote:
In regard to coaching vacancies, scout.com was told early Tuesday that former New York Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson would be hired in the same capacity with the Lions. scout.com was also informed that Jets' offensive line coach Doug Marone had secured a job with another team and veteran offensive line coach Tony Wise (Panthers, Dolphins) would likely replace him.
I think Chad Pennington should get prepared to be hit...A LOT! With Tony Wise as the new Jets' offensive line coach, any QB should be running scared.

He was in charge of one of the worst lines in the history of this franchise(to my knowledge probably THE worst). And before someone says "its because the players sucked" well no we have the same players this year who are a pretty formidable group.

I just read an update that said Wise is the leading candidate, but the Jets will also interview the Houston Texans line coach. I don't know which one would be worse.

Houck had the same exact unit in 2005 as Wise did in 2004.

Same players, and a HUGE difference in play. Yeah, it was the coach.

It was definitely the coach. But we still called them turnstiles.

If it was it doesn't matter as we haven't released our OL Cocahc from last year out of his contract and we are talking to other OL coaches.
