Is It Just Me???

I was wondering was it just me or are you also starting to dislike Wes Welker? He is starting to get on my last nerve because he is turning into a real arrogant patsie player. Did any one see the press conference after practice today, when they ask him about Tom Brady?

I don't dislike him, but that whole little clip when he grew a moustache was pretty lame...

He isn't very funny, but he is a very good football player...

the minute he opened his mouth when he left here for the crapsies put him on the hated list. this entire season has done nothing but intensify it.

Anyone who plays for the "CHEAPSHOT ARTISTS" Patsies, exemplifies their coach. Who is the biggest, pompous

I HATE him vigorously. After what he said about us when he left, I hope Porter lights him up next year and ends his season. Screw you Wes. Too bad he thinks he is the **** because the ONLY reason he is any good is because he is a product of his QB and not because of talent

A classic case of someone who comes out of nowhere, works hard, does well and then finally gets where they've wanted to go and then $%#@ on all the teams that either helped / game him a chance to succeed. They seem so humble on their climb, but when they get there . . . . . . . . . complete ingrates!!

besides a 1-15 season it was salt in the wound too see all the former dolphin players making the Pats undefeated. Whos idea was that anyway??? Oh well, the main thing is we learn from our mistakes.

Good point J.... that's pretty much spot on with Welker.
Hey.... maybe he gets hurt in the SuperBowl. Wouldn't that be lovely.

He didn't just show up in New England as a great player. A classier guy might have said something positive about his time in San Diego and Miami, which both deserve some credit for taking an undrafted college kid and helping him become a successful pro.

As he climbed the ladder to success, he has definitely left poop stains on the rungs below him.

I loved Welker when he was here but now I cant stand him. Does anyone have the comments that he said about Miami right after he was traded? I though I read somewhere he was dissing Miami. If you have them please post them.

Thanks.

I don't remember his talking bad about the dolphins. I remember him saying how he envied the patriots players and how they've been a winning org. for quite a while but I don't remember him talking S*** about the fish.

I think the only reason he's a patriot today is because the Miami FO clearly bumbled his handling. Wes wanted to play and start in the NFL and had Miami sat down with his agent before he reached RFA he'd probably had signed for far less than he did in NE. Then after not taking advantage of a contract offer before RFA began then set the contract tender too low to ever have a reasonable chance of keeping him. I always liked Welker and thought he was underrated what I wasn't aware of is how well rounded a player he is. He a great slot receiver but he's also a very decent blocker especially for a player of his size. I think many of you simply have a hate mentality because he is with the enemy now but this wasn't as much a path Wes chose but more of where the winds of fate took him under circumstances out of his control. Anyway I'm happy he's a patriot now.

I found this confrence call with Welker from 3/27/07 But he didn't say anything bad about miami. It was right after he signed with NE

If memory serves right, Wes wasn't negotiating til the end of the year....Wanted to test the waters...That's when NE gave 2 draft picks to Miami in order for the Dolphins Org to accept letting him go....If not the Patriots were set to put a poison pill into his contract...Never heard him say a cross word about any organization...I like Welker but can anyone really argue the fact that C-Satele was more important to the future and the OL than some slot wr....

Wish him well in Pats land...Hope he does well...He certainly put in the work...
