Jets: Callahan a major asset (?)So Jets fans are now being given a column that new offensive line coach Bill Callahan is a "major asset." Isn't this the same guy who brought perennial national title contender to two losing seasons in four years, and then brought the Oakland Raiders from AFC championship games to losing seasons, which they have yet to recover from?
Callahan had better hope the Jets do well, because if that line doesn't do its job after all the money that was spent on it, he'll have trouble finding work as a high school assistant coach. Quote:

The good news is he's not a HC, he was a very successful OL Coach and OC before he got the Raiders HC job in '02 and he di bring that team to a Super Bowl. I don't think Wise did a bad job(nobody could have done a thing w/ last year's OL) but he left and we filled that position w/ an upgrade. I'm very happy.

I always thought Callahan had a great offensive mind. I know it's college, but watching some Nebraska games and I think he did a good job with minimal talent. Loved how he shifted and adjusted his offensive line in college.
