I don't know what's going on, obviously he isn't being counted on this year but injuries happen and he provides quality depth so we want him back. hopefully everything is ok in his personal life.

It sounds like he walked out for good, that sucks as far as depth for us. why must these guys do these near camp? can't they decide this months ago?

I don't read that into this article nyj.

Could be anything. If it is family or personal business, it would have to be pressing for him to walk out. It may be confidential at this point so no one is talking. Medical? who knows.

The Jets treated him good and drafted him despite his medical condition. I can't see him being angry with the team.

Found this little paragraph buried in the blog: Finally, the team signed running back Tony Fisher to replace Houston. Fisher played four seasons with the Packers and last year with the Rams. He is a good receiver out of the backfield, so that should help out a bit.

Doesn't sound encouraging as far as Houston is concerned.

From what I have read cedric left b/c he didn't want to play anymore. Nothing serious at home affected the decision.

I find this strange after just one season. And wasn't he pretty successful as well?

He played 2 years and he was good kup. Maybe he expected more playing time this year then the Jets went out and got Jones and he saw he wouldn't play much?

Was it 2? Wow does time fly. You know what - that makes sense. Everyone knows that Thomas Jones is going to be your starter. I still don't understand why the Bears let him go to the Jets for just a song. :hmmm:
