Jets trade #26 pick to Raiders

Bad Move IMO, they could have easily nabbed Heath Miller, by far the best tight end prospect in the draft with that pick. I really hope for the Jets sake that Oakland threw in that 2nd rounder as well because I just dont see the logic in this otherwise.

Jets | Trade First-round Pick to Raiders for TE Jolley - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 20 Apr 2005 16:52:40 -0700

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Oakland Raiders have traded TE Doug Jolley to the New York Jets for the Jets' first-round draft choice, No. 26 overall. It is also believed the Raiders, in addition to Jolley, sent a second-round draft choice to the Jets.

The Jets also got there 2nd rounder.

The 2nd rounder is a 2006 pick. Still, I think it was a bad move by the Jets.

Miller at 26??? Some people are talking about him going top ten. No way could they get Heath Miller with that pick.

Pretty good deal I thought. FAIRLY even. And it fills a Jets need and saves them from having to pay a guy first round money.

He was projected to the Jets or Steelers and the Steelers nabbed him. The Jets suck at 1st rounders though.

Jets last 10 years of 1st round picks
1996 Keyshawn- no longer on the Jets, but one of the top 20 WR in the league
1997 James Farrior- now with the Steelers, but a Top 20 LB
1998 Dorian Boose- BUST
1999 Randy Thomas- BUST
2000 Shaun Ellis- A very good DE
John Abraham- A GREAT DE
Anthony Becht- a so-so TE
Pennington- A very good QB
2001 Santana Moss- a good #2 WR
2002 Bryan Thomas- turning into a very good DE
2003 Dewayne Robertson- Getting Better at DT every year
2004 Jonathon Vilma- A phenominal LB
2005 no pick in 1st round

Now let's take a look at the Phins
1996 Daryl Gardener - BUST
1997 Yatil Green - BUST
1998 John Avery- BUST
1999 James Johnson - BUST
2000 Todd Wade- Come on...
2001 Jamar Fletcher- Sucks
2002 no 1st round pick
2003 no 1st round pick
2004 Vernon Carey:roflmao:
2005 Ronnie Brown -???????????????

So who has a history of bad picks????
