I make it very simple for you, Losman has a lot of talent, but talent alone doesnt win football games.

You are giving an excuse for Losman's failure. The sad part is that his own damn teammates doesn't even want him as a starter.

How is that an excuse? Leaf had talent, Jeff George had talent, Cade McNown, Tim Couch, Rick Mirer all had talent.... but if you cant put your talents to work for you on the field, your not gonna make it. Mike Williams is another example...

The same way that the Steelers didnt want Ben Roethlisberger starting over Tommy Maddox, and they said so in interviews.

Losman has to win games and every teammate will love him when he does.

Also, I wasnt calling you stupid nor do I think your stupid. I just dont know how anyone got that I think Losman is the greatest QB ever just because I said he is one of the most talented QB's, which he is.

There arent many QB's in Losman's athletic class. He can throw the ball 80 yards, runs a 4.6 40, and is quick, strong and agile, but that doesnt win games unless you understand how to play QB, and right now he doesnt.
You are confusing raw physical abilities with talent at QB. I don't care if you can throw a ball 80 yards. If you can't hit your target, it doesn't matter. If you can't read defenses, it doesn't matter. Talent at QB involves more than just throwing a ball hard, just like a pitcher in baseball.

You are also over estimating his raw physical abilities. He is above average for a QB, but he didn't impress me with his running ability, elusiveness in the pocket, or his ability to break tackles. He is one of those players whose measureables at the combine do not translate into on the field performance.

If you guys get a QB in the 1st, let him earn the job. I wanted Losman to play, and I learned my lesson. Only start the young guy if there is an injury or the team is rebuilding, and I dont think Miami is rebuilding.

By the way, everyone loves Cutler, check this out, I told you guys Cutler reminded me of Losman, Im not the only one.

Quarterbacks

Matt Leinart - Tom Brady
Vince Young - Randall Cunningham
Jay Cutler - J.P. Losman
Omar Jacobs - Philip Rivers
Brodie Croyle - Rex Grossman

Your probably right and Holcomb will be the guy but at this point IMO Losman needs to start. My reasoning is you need to see what you have and if he can develop, if he can't then you'll be looking for another QB later. Holcomb is a good backup QB but he is not the answer long term as your QB.

By the way NO WAY Jay Cutler = J.P. Losman

:hmmm:

They draw comparisons for style of play and the like. Not how they actually will perform in the future. I know Dolfan's are hyping Cutler as the next big thing but he's got the same chance as JP and any other young QB of flopping.

I don't see the comparison between JP and Cutler. That is why I said that. Not just dolphins fans are hyping Cutler he might be the #1 player in the draft. Any player in any position could flop, I'll agree with that.

Brady one of the least talented QBs? Wow....

Ill take Brady's lack of talent over Losman's surplus of talent ANY DAY of the WEEK, and twice on Sundays!
