Better right now, but when Chad Jackson comes up and grows with the offense, he will be the #1 receiver in that team for many years.

Any updates on Chad Jackson's health yet?
Nothing much that I've heard. He should be playing in the opener but not completely sure. Gabriel problably isnt #1 quality and doesnt know the playbook, buy who else on the team is #1 Quality.

Expect Gabriel to be a starter.

Then its between Brown, Caldwell, Jackson and Childress...

Like many others I haven't heard anything about him so thanks for the report. I've read that of all the transactions and cuts made yesterday this one shocked the raiders players the most as Grabriel was slated to be a big part of the offense and was projected to start opposite Moss.
He certainly is a good size dude 6-2 215 lbs. I've heard he's got good speed, great hands and isn't afraid to go over the middle. This sure is going to make Deions value to the Pats go down.

From the way he porduced in preseason I predict it will be childress at least until Chad Jackson shows what he can do. Childress is small but so what he does a good job of getting open and he has good hands.

So he's pretty much Wes Welker?

From what I've read from the local paper I get down here, they traded him because Curry is finally coming back from injury nicely, and when healthy he was a pretty dang good #2, like almost Marty Booker status #2. WTH is Jerry Porter's problem? I thought he was a top 3 #2 receiver (potentially) last year.

Either way he's not starting material, not horrible, but not starting material.
Nah Raiders had him as their #2 starter because of Porters annoying attitude during the offseason. I'm sure he'll be able to blossom with Brady as his QB. Lets be fair and say Kerry Collins isnt as good QB at least anymore. Hes a nice big target. Sounds good to me. May not be the best reciever but he is the best next to Brown on the Patriots roster. Brown is really aging but still is good. Most likely scenario is Brown & Gabriel or Gabriel & Caldwell as the starters....Branch is long gone now.
