[MERGED] I say congrats to the Patriots for a great season

I do not like the Pats but they have played great football all year. The Fins played bad all year. I will alway be a Dolphins fan but I also appropriate the NFL and all of its teams. I wish the Dolphins could have given the Pats a game this year but they were just to tough. Fin fans can talk smack about how the Pats suck but we all know that they were the best in our division and should win the SB. Anyway just wanted to give credit were credit is do. Also to say Go Giants in the SB and Lets beat the Pats in 2008 twice. Go Dolphins. Fan for life.

I think we all know this, but hate the fact it's the Patsies, that's all.

Screw that. They have already been caught cheating, and are given every single break the NFL can give them without it being considered a conpsiracy......I hope Karma reaches out and bites Billicheat directly where the sun dont shine

No ****ing Way!!!!!

I will NEVER concede to a team that gets every call year in year out. People this isn't the first year they got all the calls. Do you remember the infamous TUCK RULE? That's when this Brady **** all started. You can't tell me to this day that wasn't a fumble and how the RAIDERS got cheated out of a playoff win!!! Today, it's the same ****. The Ravens game is a prime example. Gaffney's game winning bobble which they even reviewed and still called it a touchdown was total pathetic officiating. Not to mention all the gracious call they received ALL season. NO!!! I AM NOT CONGRATULATING A TEAM THAT APPEARANTLY HAS THE NFL BOUGHT!!!!!!!

Sincere Congratulations to the Patriots

By now whether your a football fan or not, you are aware that impressive streak that the New England Patriots are on. Within 2 weeks, the New England Patriots could become only the second team in NFL history to complete an undefeated season. While the 72 Dolphins were the first team to go undefeated the Patriots are doing something the dolphins couldn't dream of......going undefeated with style.

Don't misunderstand, what the Miami Dolphins did was truely phenominal, but they were nowhere near as increidble to watch as the 2007 New England Patriots. While the Pariots are lead Tom Brady (if your not aware he's like a Johnny Unitas Joe Namath love child) the Miami Dolphins made do with their backup quarterback Earl Morrall from the 5th game to the Super Bowl. While Morrall's ability to step in and the lead the team to the Super Bowl undefeated was impressive it was no where near as fun to watch the 72 dolphins as the Patriots. Instead of superstars like Randy Moss hauling in 60 yard passes from a future Hall of Fame QB, the dolphins ground out victory after victory with a no name defense and hard hitting short yardage gaining runningbacks.

The Patriots on the other hand are seemingly unstoppable. Their games are blowouts, and their scores amazing to watch. With style, the 2007 Patriots could walk into the history books as only the 2nd team in History to go undefeated for an entire season. Below is a list of other team and individual records they have set this season.

5. 108 yards, the NFL record for longest Kick Return set by Ellis Hobbs
4. 50 the number of touchdowns thrown by Tom Brady shattering Payton Manning's 2004 season record.
3. 23 The number of TD receptions by Randy Moss, beating Jerry Rice for the most TD receptions in a season.
2. 589. That's the number of points the New England Patriots offense set this season, breaking the record of 556 set by Minnesota in 1998.
1. $500,000.00 the biggest fine in NFL history levied against the New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick for cheating during week 1 of the 2007 season.

Congratulations New England on your many records.

Actually the if the Patriots win SB XLII they will go down as the first undefeated team to go 19-0

Next will be the Dolphins as the first undefeated team to go 17-0

In my mind they lost to the Ravens, but whatever. They shouldn't have come away from that one with a win. The Ravens stopped them twice on 4th down. I'm sure the Pats have been the victims of bad calls, just not when it mattered.

The Patriots are like Barry Bonds. He was already a great player but felt the need to cheat in order to ensure that he would be the best. That is likely the reason Bellicheat cheated.

The Pats will win on Sunday and the sports media will declare them the best team ever. Whatever, that's to be expected. There's more to look at than just the record IMO. I've already said this but the Pats are lucky to make the playoffs with Matt Cassell playing in 11 games. The 72 Dolphins were a much deeper team than these Pats and didn't need luck for a perfect season. They even won their championship game on the road against a Steelers team that went on to become a dynasty.

All that said, yes I do think the Pats have one of the more impressive teams in recent memory. I'm still not going to root for them though.

How wrong is it for a Miami fan to say that watching the 72 dolphins win every game was "no where near as fun" as watching the cheatriots win their games??? To me this is just wrong on so many levels.

Never mind that the cheatriots most likely would be under .500 without their starting QB.
