Patriots may no longer be Super threat

Pressure on Belichick to find way to beat Bears

Bill Belichick can be as gruff and petty as he wants. But Belichick’s act only works when his team is atop the league.

However, Mr. Hoodie is in danger of, at least for the rest of the 2006 season, becoming the coach of an irrelevant team. Shutout wins over Green Bay are nice, but come on, the Patriots are back to playing NFL competition this week.

If New England loses to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, it no longer will be a candidate to win another Super Bowl. The Patriots aren't even in that good of shape in the AFC East.

The game is crucial for New England. The Bears a nice NFC team, but Belichick should devise a way to beat them. New England shouldn’t be intimidated or worried about the Bears.

However, the pressure is on. If Chicago pulls out the win, the Patriots will be nothing but an average team. And Belichick has proven he is rarely average.

It will be very hard for us to catch the Patiots but if the Bears clean the Pat's clock you never know....we play them after Jax and could have all the momentum by then.

New England will beat the Bears. The Bears are a fraud.

I would have the #1 ranked defense in the league if I got to play Green Bay, Detroit, and Minnesota twice a year, too.

Well Miami hasn't exactly been the model of consistency this season either. Other than the Colts, Bears and the chargers nobody has been consistent. Everyteam has lost some they shouldn't have and won some they should have lost.

I don't know, for 7 games they were consistantly bad and for the past 4 they've been consistantly good. It was like a light switch or something.

i do not know at 8-3 they are a big threat to finish as division leaders now.

they get 3-5 then they clinch the title .miami is the tough game if they do run through lions and miami the division race is over.

NE exposed Chicago for the frauds that they are. Just like we did, except we were bad so people could use the excuse that they were looking past Miami.

Nah chaulk it up to Grossman getting consistantly worse and worse and teams figured out all you have to do is pressure him and he'll throw up the rock for grabs. Any other team besides Arizona and they'd be 8-3 and the bears struggled just to put up 10 on the jets. The bears have one hell of a defense with out much offense and if a team takes the run away and forces Grossman to beat them with his arm the bears lose. I can see them making to the SB but not winning it vs which ever AFC team they play.

Right now they can't beat Dallas IMO. Maybe not Carolina either. I can see another early playoff exit in their future.
