Whats so hard to believe? That slot reciever had 57 more catches, 326 more yards and 3 more touchdowns than the #1 reciever. Not to mention the slot reciever has Tom Brady as his quarterback while the #1 reciever has JP Losman/Trent Edwards at quarterback. If that wasn't enough, the slot reciever is playing on the best offense in the league with Randy Moss on the other side while the #1 reciever will probably have a rookie on the other side. LOL @ you being confused.

You beat me to it--I was going to point to the fact that Welker had about twice as many catches. Doesn't matter where you catch them from, as long as you catch them. I expect Evans to be better this year (he had 82 the year before) after more time working with Edwards, but I still see Welker catching more passes most likely. TDs I'd put them at even, as Evans specialty is more the long ball versus Welker's underneath routes, but Welker's also likely to get more scoring chances in the red zone than Evans will, and the Pats are more likely to find themselves in the red zone than the Bills, sadly. The gap's closing, but it ain't closed yet.....

It's fantasy football. Being better doesn't mean being more valuable fantasy wise. Every year the "Peyton or Brady" argument is made. But up until 2007, you could never argue fantasy wise - it was Peyton by a huge margin.

The one more point is they 2 different position with different responsiblity and skill set .In fantasy stats are given weight and hence they grouped under one. If sack number for DE were important in a league for defence then would you not rate a 4-3 speed end above a 3-4 end?.

Hey, I calls 'em likes I sees 'em. No homer here, especially in fantasy (although I do have rule that I don't take Pats on my team--a big handicap last year, but I still finished second in my league (which was the only time I ever finished other than first)).
