something interesting to kill time.

"Here is a VERY interesting draft fact about the Jets drafting history.

The Year Dan Marino was drafted in the 1st round the Jets also selected a QB in the 1st. The drafted Ken O'Brien 3 slots before Dan Marino.

The year Jerry Rice was drafted in the 1st round the Jets also selected a WR in the 1st. They drafted before Al Toon 6 spots before Jerry Rice.

The year Emmitt Smith was drafted in the 1st round the Jets also selected a RB in the 1st. They drafted Blair Thomas 15 spots before Emmitt Smith.

In other words, if the Jets has been better evaluators of talent they could have quite easily had the all time passing leader, the all time receiving leader and the all time rushing leader on the same team, at the same time!!!!! "

The Jets would have tried to make Marino a scrambler and try to run option plays from a full house backfield.......LOL

Exactly. And that's just the first that comes to mind. All the rest of the players we drafted instead of players that turned out to be amazing have been erased from my memory permanently.

But then again, if the Jets did draft him, would they have made him the player that he was?
