Shockey even though he is banged up, a 80% Shockey is better than a 100% Dilger

Yes, Shockey is more of a Tony Gonzalez type player, just bigger in size. He will catch a lot of balls with the Giants, and get a lot of looks from Kerry Collins. Dilger will be good too with the BUCS, but Shockey will fair better with the Giants. You have 2 of the top 10 TEs for your Fantasy League. Great picks!

This is a tougher question than a lot will make of it. Dilger has the ability to catch like 50 balls in an offense that will feed him the ball. And all you guys say oh well Gruden doesn't use the TE...

Well quite frankly thats bs. He would love to throw to the TE more. He just had to deal with the piece of sh!t Rickey Dudley all his time in Oakland. And let me tell you Dudley is one of those Alonzo Mayes characters who has all the talent in the world but doesn't use it, gets injured, is lazy, has a bad attitude, and just does not produce on the field.

So in Tampa I'm personally penciling in Dilger for about 35-40 catches and 4-5 TDs with about 400 yards....as a very very very conservative figure. My gut feeling is more like 50 for 500 yards and 7 TDs. So its basically just a matter of how you feel Jeremy Shockey will do this year. Probably better to start Dilger at the end of the year after Shockey hits the rookie wall.

Rookie TE's usally don't do squat. I know that Shockey looked good in preseason(McMichael too!) but history votes against them doing really well in their 1st year. Look at the big names from last year at the TE position. Alge Crumpler did not post very good numbers and Todd Heap backed up Sharpe who is like a thousand years old. i would start Dilger. TE is usally not a make or break position on a fantasy team anyway. Look at who the teams are playing week to week and go with your gut. They are going to throw to Shockey a bunch so he could be the guy that bucks the trend of rookies starting slow at that position.

Well, on the Giants website they are showing Dan Campbell #89 as the starting TE...so I don't know...if you play Shockey you might not get any points unless they stick him in after the start of the game...I went ahead and grabbed Campbell out of our FA pool after I saw this so I could maybe get some points. IF it turns out that they do start Shockey then it won't hurt me either way...cause I had McMichael and Jed Weaver for my TE's and McMichael is starting so I wouldn't get any points for Weaver anyways...but just letting you know what I saw on the Gaints' depth chart....

Shockey is starting. His backups will never even see time in 1 TE sets. Those depth charts are ****ed up.

Unfortunately I just found that out - Should have known...Damn...Didn't hurt me either way being as I did have Weaver from us and he is just backing up McMichael...although they said on the Miami site on NFL.com that someone else was backing up McMichael now...No win situation for me

We got Clark off waivers from Denver, Weaver was a waste of time when he started. Why don't you post that much anymore?

There is lots to talk about. I have probably posted more in the offseason than I do in the regular season. Then again, school sometimes gets in the way during the regular season.
