Fantasy Strategies changing? Is it just me or are guys drafting differently this season. In the past it was almost a law to grab RB's with the first two picks, if not the first three. Now I see guys taking WR's in the first and second round. I can see picking up Brady or Moss early if you can grab em, but picking up TO in the first round? What gives?

not many RBs getting all carries. Many teams have RB by committee. That would be my guess.

A lot of newcomers is my guess. Or are you in a PPR league? The problem with not picking RB's early is the difference of points between a #1 and a #10 RB. A lot of points seperate them. Not the case with WR's. You can pick up a WR in the 3rd and fourth rounds who might give you close to a # 3 or #4 WR points wise. The difference in points between the #1 RB and the 10th is a huge margin, usually!

I noticed this too. In my league people were actually keeping recievers this year. I think it has a lot to do with the running back by committee. For example you have Miami, Carolina, Detroit, Jacksonville and even Pittsburgh this year with guys splitting carries. And thats just off the top of my head. Add in that you have question marks about the starters in Chicago, Arizona, Seattle, Houston and so on. It's a weak year for running backs.

I think this year is effected by about 5 Great starting QB's and 10 great starting RB's but about 15-20 great starting WR's. The running back class is shallow as well as Qb. RB by comittee has also made the change.
