Killer Auto Draft

Anyone got any Auto-draft rosters as good as this one? Swear to you that I was on Auto draft from start to finish and this is what I got;

10 team Fin Heaven league on ESPN (League 4)

I think it pretty good (not a bad job with the pre-rank either). I'll probably drop Stallworth for a no. 2 QB since the Auto didn't get one for me.

The only adjustment I'd made is to drop one of weak receivers (Stallworth or Jackson) and add a undrafted QB...maybe you can get Pennington or Kitna...check what's available on your WW.

Thats a pretty solid team. I highly recommend picking up Kurt Warner if he is still available in your league.

I agree. You need another qb. The rest is pretty good, but you won't be able to use all of your wr's so drop one for someone useful to you.

your defense sucks, but aside from that not bad

clearly a biased opinion from one of the girls rooting for some other AFC east team. If you recall, its DST (defense/special teams).

I think, considering it was an Auto Draft, and the potential for Ginn on special teams to be as dangerous as Hester, auto-pick of the Dolphins DST qualifies as pretty good choice.

Even outside of that, I do not concede the 'phins will be weak as a fantasy defense;

-Porter is back in his element as OLB in 3-4 D,
-we're strong at LB with Crowder and Ayodele,
-DT Ferguson, Holiday, Langford and Merling will stuff the run and even collapse the pocket allowing for multi-sack games by pass rushers Roth, Anderson and Moses,
-Y. Bell did nothing but sack the QB and stop 3rd conversions in blitz mode during the '06 season when 'phins were top 4 def.

With all due respect, MikeO, do you ever take it upon yourself to make an independent judgement? Are you hooked on stats to the point that you're unable to integrate any non-quantifiable elements into your evaluations. For example, how do you judge a DST when it is completely different than the previous year? You have no stat for that.

Don't tell me your judgement on this issue is guided by that 1-15 defense, is it? You will completely discredit yourself should you answer in the affirmative.

every fantasy football ranking has Miami ranked at the bottom of the DST rankings. In a 10 or 12 team league why anyone would want to play around with a DST ranked so low is beyond me.

Maybe a little luck will be needed but, I think the fundamentals are there.

Just so you know, I have the Eagles and Titans in my other two leagues. No one has the 'phins in those leagues but, I'll be scouting them in case they perform as well as I expect.

If you're sold on keeping the Phins on your roster, you might want to consider picking up a second DST, just in case.

MikeO and you, Ren, insist on creating doubt regarding the Dolphins DST. You no longer have to take my word for it. My head to head Finheaven fantasy league game has me going against a team that has the Cowboys DST. In comparing the two starting line-ups, the ESPN ranking system awards the advantage to my team in the DST line-up. ESPN considers the Dolphins DST an advantage over the guy with the Cowboys!

Will you now challenge the wisdom of ESPN?

I will> They will still give up a lot of points, and if you've ever played ff before you'de know that. I totally agree this is a bad move and I love my fins. Maybe they have some upside to them with the new regime, time will tell. Chris Johnson is your diamond in the rough! I've got him on all my teams. And if you don't want our opinion, why ask?

thanks for support on the C Johnson pick but please, don't go off sounding like my wife!! I appreciate the feedback I just take issue with the lemming-like rebuke of the 'phins DST. Whatever. we'll see, of course but, Parcels put a pretty good defense on the field everywhere he's been, Coach P had two pass rushers with double digit sacks in '07. I don't see why it should be any different with 'phins in '08.
