Chad Henne has shown he can throw the ball deep and has this pre-season on numerous occasions. It's not like all he does is dump the ball off to the RB. I think my concern with Henne is will his success in the pre-season, against teams playing extremely vanilla schemes (to risk not showing anything significant for the season) and often against second-third string players, will that translate to success on game day when games actually count and players who belong on the field are actually playing, and playing hard.

I guess YPA is one factor to look at, but IMO, the real test of a QB is his ability to lead his team to points. I think Henne has shown more potential to do this than Beck. I love Beck, and I root for him b/c he is a good guy and I would love nothing more than to see a good guy make it in the NFL, but the bottom line is that CP is head and shoulders above him, right now, and Henne appears to have already surpassed him in leadership and ability on the field. Unfortunately, this game is all about NOW and Beck is probably going to get lost in the shuffle cause they can only develop so many players and Henne appears to be their choice. two words .. CLOCK MANAGEMENT .. kept the ball moving and the clock running while they were leading ... plus he was behind a back up line .. with less time to pass

chad henne looks great for a 1st year 2nd game action qb. great.

he just needs more reps.

If Beck would post similar numbers or hold on to the football he wouldn't be at the back of the bus. Henne looks like he's in his 3rd or 4th year not a scared rookie.
