Against the Jags Chad Henne had a 5.1 ypa which is lower then Beck in both the preseason and regular season last year. We should deal the bum for anything we can get. I mean come on you all wanna deal Beck and Henne likes the short passes more. Never mind the fact that taking the underneath stuff and converting first downs is better than going &^$% it i'm going deap and throwing into coverage. It's not like every 10 yards you get a fresh set of downs or something and any three plays that average over 3.3 yards will get you there or something. God scrubs like that make me sick.

if you watched the game you would see that he did go downfield to Wilford, Ginn and Armstrong.

two yards to the left and his throw to Ginn would have been perfect.

it pays to actually watch the game

Just because you bought a Beck jersey or have his card from some Upper Deck card set doesn't mean you can't like him in free agency.



Stop being so bitter, I don't see the point. Did you even watch the game? Hell, I remember a game where Brady beat a defense by only throwing checkdowns to Welker.

only a moron would look at the ypa to judge

he also threw a sweet pass to Ryan who dropped it

Ryan alone cost him 1 ypa

because this issue has been argued about over and over and nothing is going to change opinions anymore. the original poster must know that it is going to become a flame war. that's why he wrote the way he did.

beck has had chances. i personally did not want us to draft henne but he has looked good. in the 1st game he did get it up field. in both games he made good decisions, threw the ball well, and did a good job managing the game.

so henne has one game where he throws where defense dictates where beck has demonstated a pattern of it.

beck has looked unsure, has fumble problems, and is not getting younger.
i can't believe i wrote in one of these threads.

if beck starts showing up or becomes more comfortable then great. right now he has been beaten out by a rookie who looks a ton more comfortable behind center, throws a better ball imo, is younger, and has started a ton more games in his qb career.

Anyone get sarcasim I just think its stupid when despite being a second round pick and on the Dolphins and from college deffenatilly showing potential so many fans want to deal him for a sixth or seventh pick last i checked 2nd round pick > 6th round pick in most cases plus the ypa doesn't matter provided you can get over 3.3 yards per play and you dont turn the ball over too much you will move the ball down the field tire down the defence and score points. It doesn't matter how you do it. Plus keeping Beck worst case senario he sucks and we get nothing out of him and still a have Henne. best case senario he becomes a good QB. If you get rid of him its automatically we get nothing worth while after him at this point Beck is low risk high reward so we should keep him and Henne because if one goes down we have a back up plan and if we end up with 2 good QBs isn't that a very good problem? Plus if we cut McClown and Pennington goes down we get to see what Beck can do over a journy man and provided we win at least 1 game next year whats the problem with the first pick especially if they add that rookie salairy cap they have been talking about.
