And How many games did Trent and Cleo win? Answer none.
Just have faith that the Front Office and coaches will have our team ready on Sundays this fall, and will play the best qb. Be it Beck or Henne or McCown.

Um no, if they were Tom and Peyton then they would have won games last year. Please think before you post. Oh did I point out Beck was a ROOKIE? Let me restate this, John Beck was a rookie on the worst team in football. Does it get any clearer for you? Move on.

Beck is going to succeed. He has all the tools, and with a line that gives him more than 1/10 of a second to throw, he will look good.

Green and Lemon were 1st and 2nd string, and the fins still went 1-15 - no QB was successfull last year. The team sucked, and by the time Beck got the nod, the lines were depleted, the WRs were depleted, the running backs were depleted. He had no one around him. Green had a better surrounding cast than Beck, and still couldn't make it work.

I can't think of a worse situation for any rookie qb to come into.

As a Beck fan, I'm starting to hope that he gets traded just to get away from all **** here. He just needs a fair shake with a compentent team around him. Last year he didn't have a competent team around him, this year it looks like he may not get a fair shake.

Or maybe you're just a hater.

Adjusted QB rating (07):
Trent Green: 73.8
Cleo Lemon: 67
rookies:
Troy Smith: 72.6
Trent Edwards: 67.5
John Beck: 43.2
JaMarcus Russell: 40.9

So Beck was marginally better than Russell, good for him.

This is obviously over your head, but yes, Beck made Lemon and Green look like elite quarterbacks. I'm not sure where you got the idea that I was implying Lemon and Green were elite quarterbacks.

I'll make it simple for you, there's a 30.6 point differential between John Beck and Trent Green in adjusted QB ratings. Meanwhile, there was a 20.2 point differential between Peyton Manning and Trent Green in adjusted QB ratings. In other words, Trent Green was closer to Peyton Manning than John Beck was to Trent Green. And really, Trent Green was MUCH closer to Peyton Manning than Beck was to Green. Does that mean Trent Green was good? Of course not, it just means John Beck was really, really bad.....even for a rookie placed in a bad situation.

WTF is your point with this thread? Who gives a crap. You just admitted Beck played bad on a bad team. If Trent Green was close to Manning and still couldnt win a game, what does that tell you? It should tell you how bad the team was. Then you throw a rookie QB in there and expect him to win a game? Get a clue and stop posting.

His point is Beck sucked more than what he should've, even put into a bad sitiuation. I think he is merely trying to brace you guys, (Beck lovers) for what might happen (him not being good at all). No finfan wishes bad on a fin player. He hopes that Beck proves him wrong. Beck just isn't showing any flashes at all. I agree with Breed 100%
