Rumor: On Cam

I always get annoyed when I see those "I know someone who knows someone who said..." threads, so take this for what it's worth. I have a buddy who works for Intel in Portland, OR. He works with Cam's sister-in-law (his wife's sister). She says that Cam had dinner at Randy's house last night, and said today they (Cam & Randy?, Cam & his wife?) are checking out houses. He said he hasn't gotten the official word yet (as of last night), but apparently feels pretty confident.

I trust my friend on this one, he's not even really into sports. I seriously doubt he would even know who Cam Cameron was before this.

Again, take it for what it's worth.

The Miami Herald reports the search is over. The interviews are complete. And by the end of today, the Dolphins expect to have chosen a new coach to replace HC Nick Saban. Only one measly, little question remained undecided within the team's collective mind late Thursday night: Who exactly will it be? Following another interview with Chargers OC Cam Cameron that lasted 10 Â½ hours Thursday, Dolphins officials spent two more hours discussing their options. The group concluded they would get one more night of sleep before making a final decision. Will it be Cameron? Or Georgia Tech HC Chan Gailey? Or former Alabama HC Mike Shula, former falcons HC Jim Mora or Dolphins DC Dom Capers? There are clear front-runners. But no candidate has been ruled out. ''I can say with 100 percent certainty that nothing has been decided [Thursday],'' Dolphins representative Harvey Greene said. ``We hope to have this finalized by [today] or Saturday at the latest.'' However, two people close to the search said the decision would be made today. A formal announcement would depend on the time needed to sort out any pressing issues during preliminary contract negotiations.

After reading the above my take is that there might be a division in the organization on who to take. Makes it sound like Mueller is in Cameron's corner.

Thanks! As with all rumors you take them for what they are but it does make sense. You don't have a 3 1/2 hour 2nd interview with someone - then bring them back the next day for 10 1/2 hours if you are still window shopping. This is a done deal! I'm sure the agent and Bryan are working on contract details today. My only problem is I wish he were picking out his staff instead of a house right now but that may already be done.

Actually, I just talked with my buddy again. Cam did look for houses with Randy. I think Randy was maybe just giving him some ideas on neighborhoods? Maybe they are moving in together though, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think they pretty much have to hire Cameron at this point. I mean they bring the guy down here, string him along for 3 days then all of a sudden tell him sorry we don't want you? Do you realise how badly that would reflect on this organization?

Unless it comes about that Cameron was undecided about taking the job, or something similiar the job is his.

Its getting kinda late. I would think they wouldve announced a press conference by now. Maybe its not decided. Cameron is probably demanding more than the other choices

Not so fast!! Apparently GAiley's OC in GT Nix has signed on with UM and taking on the same responsibilties.

He's probably getting payed a hell of a lot more money at UM, wouldn't he be a candidate to take over HC responsibilities if Gailey was leaving GT?

Well,..... I just got off the phone with my cousin Darryl. Well Darryl works with a guy who works with a guy who knows a girl who knows a woman who met a guy who used to secretly do a woman that once was married to a guy who used to watch espn with an old lady who was the grandmother of a girl who had a used car that used to belong to Cam Cameron and she told me that its supposed to be dark tonight.
