Grommets and eyelets are metal, plastic, or rubber rings that are inserted into a hole made through another material. They may be used to reinforce the hole, to shield something from the sharp edges of the hole, or both.

Well first:

I'd like to thank finfan ty for the attention, giving me my own thread with my name in it and everything. I really do appreciate it! I'm sure bumping more relevant threads down for a gem like this was a valuable contribution to the site.

I'd also like to thank the members of finheaven. For helping to classify me as a 'team hater' when i attempt to engage in intelligent debates with them about the Miami Dolphins, disgreeing with the opinions of some, agreeing with many others.

Now i'd like to respond:
If i was a "team hater" i doubt i would spend countless numbers of hours of my life watching this team, supporting this team, cheering for them when they win. I doubt i would be so demoralized after a Dolphin loss if i hated this team, unable to sleep on some Sunday Nights, feeling miserable for the entire week until the next game rolls around.

When the Dolphins won that game against Baltimore i screamed, i was not watching it with anyone but i screamed. I cheered loudly "YEAH!" i was incredibly happy. I felt vindicated. It may be sad but it's true.....we avoided the 0-16 season, i doubt if i was a team hater that would have happened to me.

I doubt if i was a "team hater" i'd own so much Dolphins apparel, t-shirts, jerseys, hats, a stickers, pins, buttons you name it. Footballs, shot glasses, mini helmets, signs, key chains, a little Dolphins beanie baby thing that says "Marino" on the back. I doubt i'd have framed posters of Dan Marino or a Todd Macfarlane miniature statue. I doubt my computer would be Dolphins customized with wallpaper, internet browsers, tool bars all being teal and orange.

If i was a team hater, i don't think i'd be such an active member here at FinHeaven but perhaps an active member at unemployedsingles.com, or whatever other Bills site is out there.

So i apologize if my use of a message board to post my own opinions about the Dolphins has come across as me hating a team i've loved my entire life. A team that is ALWAYS on my mind every single day.
