    Please excuse our dust this weekend

    Not too long ago we upgraded to a two server setup because we wanted to keep the site up and running. After watching how this setup has been doing, we are in need of yet another upgrade to keep FinHeaven around for the long term - especially the draft. Our goal this year to make sure that the site doesn't go down once due to too many people.

    With that said, please excuse any downtime that you may experience this weekend as we're upgrading yet again. We are adding another server to our plan (that's three servers). For those keeping track, we're looking at three Dual Xeon 2.8 CPUs... each with two gigs of ram and two 73GB SCSI.

    Later tonight (around 11pm) we will definitely go down for a brief period of time as we transfer our data to the new servers.

    So, while this weekend may be a little rocky keep in mind that it's for the best... to improve your FinHeaven experience!

    PS: I just want to thank Ken (aka 3P) and Walter (aka Mindwarp) for helping with this transition. These guys are server/linux pros and deserve much props for keeping FinHeaven on it's feet. Great job guys!

    Sounds good AJ. A little downtime is worth not having to go through a weekend like the one with the Brees/Culpepper visits.

    There is not much going on AJ so this would be a good time to make another upgrade.

    Its a small price to pay to avoid overloads on draft day.Good luck and let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
