Excellent post Expo.. only a few minor innacuracies or disagreements that have allready been brought up, but for the most part an excellent dissertation of why we should go through with this millitary action.

The USA gets most of its oil from South America, Canada, and the USA. The European nations get most of their oil for the Middle East.Originally posted by booyeah_
Another reason why it's not "for oil". If all we wanted was oil, why would we back a country w/ little to no oil(Israel) over countries that hate it that are rich in oil?
BTW, great post Expo!
We are good friends with some oil rich nations, like Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the UAE. These nations are also our biggest supporters in the Middle East of the war on Iraq. However, these friendships are about a lot more than just oil.
I was surprised on how positive the Kuwaitis think of us and our servicemen. They seem really grateful for us liberating them. Citizens were handing flowers out to our soliders and thanking them. Our alliance with Kuwait is for real.Originally posted by iceblizzard69
