    Canada and the war...

...last night when the New York Islanders played the Montreal Canadiens, the fans booed the American National Anthem. As a Canadian I can say I am totally appauled by this and that this is not the feeling for all Canadians. While I'm sure no one WANTS war, unfortunately it is at times necessary. I, and many of my friends and family, are 100% supportive of the United States, UK and the rest of the coalition. These brave, courageous people are giving their lives to protect our freedom and way of life. Whether you support Bush or not, how can you not support the people that provide and protect our very own freedom.

For all the citizens of the US, please do not take the actions of these morons in Montreal to be your judgement on Canadians.

God bless America, Canada, England and the rest.
    Mike

No worries Mike, we know there's millions of solid Canadiens

It's the French mostly. They can't stand us. And if I told you how I felt about them right now, I'd be banned from the internet. So let's just say it's a mutual for me.

I have heard that many Canadians are disapointed in their country. I thought they would be supportive since we have been long time allies, but I am happy that there are Canadians who support us.

``We apologize to anyone who may have been offended by this incident, and would encourage all fans at the Bell Centre to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of our game and our two great nations.''

Despite the apology, there was a small amount of retribution on the U.S. side Friday night. About 20 people at the Ottawa Senators-Atlanta Thrashers game booed during the opening lines of ``O Canada.'' But the boos died down, and there was applause at the end.
    and most importantly

The Islanders won the game 6-3, and afterward New York's Mark Parrish -- who's from Minnesota -- expressed disappointment with the booing.

I came to the game pretty pumped up, but once I heard that, it really got me going,'' he said. ``So I guess I can thank them a little bit for getting me more pumped up.
I am quite suprised Canada is not helping us out in Iraq

Ice I agree with most of the dissent against the French but this also applies to a good % of the French people !!! The majority power has the final say,,, but that doesn't mean that the majority of the population is in agreement with the final say ......
