Another solid win from the Canes last night. You can tell you have a good team on your hands when you start beating these teams you should beat by a big margin at home. UNC will be a good challenge on Saturday but the Canes are the better team and should win this game.

Are there any names Canes fans should be watching for today for National Signing day . . . or is it pretty much resolved already?
Conflicting reports on Alex Collins right now . . . apparantely his mom took the LOI and they cancelled the signing ceremony at South Plantation. Mom wants him to be a Cane . . . possibly Alex himself . . . but coach is pushing Arkansas hard.
Im reading that his mom literally stole the papers and wont let him sign at Arkansas. WTF lol. I want the kid at Miami, but that not something you do to your kid. Let your kid go to school where they want to go.

I remember last year thinking Miami was finally back on track after a solid signing day. This year more of the same ol' BS, good but no exceptional talent. Alex Collins really doens't change much of anything at this point.

I dont follow recruiting too much, but it looks like we got a few nice players today. Got the #11 OLB in the nation and the #4 WR in the nation. Not bad. Plus thi class also has a good QB, TE, a few DBs, DEs. Only major think is no DTs were signed and that was a major weakness last year. Hopefully some of the guys we already have step up.

We still need to clear these "sanctions" before we can truly put our foot forward in recruiting . . . but all things considered not a bad class at all. We do have a few DT's that we have to hope step up this season already on the team . . . but you certainly would of liked to see us land one of the more higher ranked guys at DT.
Yeah, it looks like defensive tackle was again the big miss. We can't seem to land any of our targets. Meanwhile, Florida State stocks up. That's going to be the difference in the two programs for the foreseeable. They allowed 3.85 yards per play to above 6 for Miami.
I still have confidence in Golden's eye for talent. We'll be athletic but not particularly big or powerful.
Collins must have had a reason for announcing Arkansas on television. I hope he ends up there. Don't want a kid going through life thinking he was forced elsewhere.
He was live with Joe Rose on NBC 6 for a signing day special and he said he will indeed sign with Arkansas

Sucks we didnt land our targets at DT but i love what we did at DE which is just as big a need imo. Getting Olsen is the biggest piece though.
