    Obama the orator

To be fair, their was much criticism of McCains speech the other day (it did suck), and how great Obama was by comparison. Well, to be fair, Barrack does not seem that slick without a teleprompter.

    let the attacks begin....

I, personally could not care less about how good of a speaker my President is. I look at that as a luxury, hell just give me a guy with a little bit of integrity, remember...baby steps.

Give me a guy that writes his own speeches. And doesn't rely on others and teleprompters. It's no different than an actor reading a script. Also give me a person who means what they say. Who's actions backs up their words.

Obama makes mistakes on the fly, McCain's speech was bad from the beginning.

McCain thought he had a great speech. That is why he took the risk of trying to steal Obama's thunder on the 3rd.

Its a question of viewership. Everyone saw McCain's speech. This is the first time I have seen that Obama speech (and I have seen many). When they both prepare, Obama is leaps and bounds ahead. When they aren't, they make the mistakes they all make (Obama and the speech you posted, McCain and confusing Sunni's and Shia).

Speeches sell. Look at every President since 1980. The better orator won each time.

9954...Obama delivered two of the best political speeches I have ever heard, both written by him personally.... almost all politicians use teleprompters... Paul (who you are definitely alluding to) does not use a speech writer or a teleprompter, and it shows... he comes off as unpolished and not as smart as I believe him to be... As far as the Obama thing... You would attack him irrespective of what he said or did... His record shows that he has lived by his ideals... what else do you want from a politician? You cry Wolf so much that you are losing any validity as a contributor to any conversation here in my eyes.... How did you get so negative?

    Do you really believe that?

I disagree with you on Ron Paul. He comes off alot smarter to me than Obama. I would love to see them both debate each other. And by the way Obama does not live by his ideals. If that was the case he would stop voting to fund a war that he is supposedly against. He would have never voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act. And he would prove that he could pay for all the things he plans to spend. And not use fuzzy math and voodoo economics like so many before him. And what about the loads of money he gets from Big Business and Special interests. Not to mention that the Drug companies and Health Insurance companies have already bought him out.

Hasn't the last 7+ years taught you anything? McCain has had years to be able to make a speech.. Generally you find someone who can't think on his feet, doesn't understand what he's saying and you come out with Bush\Mccain... This should concern you, as you've seen a person like this not able to run the country, not inspire the country, and most importantly, not lead the country...they general make poor judgements..I give you the proof of the last 7 + years... All those presidents who were able to speak and convate their thoughts, also think deeply and lead the country, I give you Kennedy, Regan, Clinton... so while you're being stubborn, think about the position you're putting the country in if we elect another one of the bushes out there, i.e., McCain, a person who's told you he doesn't know anything about the economy, a person who doesn't remember who's who when it comes to talking about groups in Iraq...This person isn't sharp p3411..that should really concern you..we have a lot to fix in this country and McCain doesn't have a clue..Period..

I know he uses a speech writer... I SAID that two of his best speeches were written by him personally... If you think Paul comes off as sounding smarter you need to listen to more speeches... You may love his ideas, but he is not a very good speaker... What president have we had that you like?

This quote above illustrates my point... The Patriot Act and war funding agenda you present has been addressed to death.... but for your benefit I will do it again...

    1. Patriot Act- It wasn't going to get tossed out in that vote... It was better to vote for the reauthorization with the ammendments that cut down on the inherrent abuses than to vote against the revision and leave it in it's much more nefarious state for any longer... Thank you Mr. Obama.

    2. War Funding- You do not cut off funding to soldiers who are overseas fighting. You end the war, you bring them home, but you don't leave them without the funding necessary to equip and protect themselves in hostile territory. I am against the war completely, and always disagreed with that tactic.

All you say is Obama does this and that... fuzzy math, big business... you are not the squeaky wheel, you are a broken record... Provide some depth please...

    Thomas Jefferson.

Thank you Mr. Obama for reauthorizing the Patriot Act? You and Obama are not fans of the Constitution. And definitely not defenders of it as well.
When our freedom and liberty was on the line Obama choose to negotiate with our liberty and ended up passing one of the biggest attacks on our freedoms. He didn't take a stand at all. Instead he cowered and faulterd when our constitution was on the line. He should have grown a pair like another Democrat (Dennis Kucinich) and fought for what our country was founded on. In the words of Benjamin Franklin. "Those who are willing to give of liberty for safety deserve neither". The founding fathers would not have approved of the patriot act. In fact they would be ashamed of anyone who voted for it.

Back to the war. Obama's stance is nothing but a cop-out. And the same exact stance as Hillary's. Which is pretty pathetic. Once again Obama is scared to take a stand. You say he votes to fund the war to support the troops. So sending the troops to die in a war that he is supposedly against is his version of support? It doesn't make any sense. It's an excuse and a cop-out simple as that. If he is truly against the war then he wouldn't vote to fund the war. What's so hard to understand about that. It's called principle. It's called honor. It's called backing up what you say.

If Obama didn't vote for the Patriot Act. And voted against funding the war in Iraq. I would actually consider voting for him. But I will still have issues with his spending proposals and his forms of Big Government. Not to mention the fact that the Drug Companies and Health Insurance companies have already bought him out.

I refuse to get into any type of lengthy conversation with you about, well... anything... I stated what I stated... if you can't understand the whys and hows of things..... or comprehend the logic of what I said in my first post than there is no need to comment on it anymore. (as much as I like to read big business typed over and over again, I have decided to decline)
