This is another recent rental. This movie is a foreign indie flick that's about a girl growing up in Iran during the Shah's overthrow. It's an animated movie that was originally a graphic novel. It's more of a memoir about the main character, Marjane.
It's not a typical animation movie. It's political, horrible, shocking, and yet beautiful. I highly recommend it. I love the animation. Check it out if you haven't already. I give it a 7/10 (I'm a harsh grader as of late though).
I'd give it a 5. I rented it, but never really got into it.
Agreed. I respected the ingenuity of it, but I really couldn't get into it. Its really one of those hit or miss movies...
