I think Shutter Island may be the most disturbing flick I have seen (And I have seen a lot of them).

*SPOILER ALERT* The scene on the lake with Michelle Williams is what gets me *SPOILER*
saw this a few weeks ago. yawn. had that 'twist' ending pegged in the first half hour. i've been disappointed with scorcese for a while.

Finally got around to watching the French horror flick Martyrs (I think somebody mentioned it on the previous page). HO-LEEEEEE CRAP! These French horror movies are kicking all kinds of butt.

The first half starts out as a revenge flick but then turns into something completely different. Some people seem to HATE the sudden switch while others go with it. Personally, I just fast forwarded through some of the second half (it's pretty much a 15 minute, dialogue free montage of a girl getting beat and tortured...seriously). It was still powerful though.

You're either going to like or hate this thing. I liked it, but be warned...it's not for every taste. The French are pretty ****ed up.

I actually think this is a Canadian movie. Or am I wrong?

    Requiem for a Dream...

This movie disturbed me so much that I have only seen it one time..

I have been unable to watch it since the first time I saw it...

Slasher movies never get me..or even blood and guts..But women being exploited in films always was revolting to me.

    A documentary called "Jesus Camp".

Watch it, then weep for the future of humanity...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

i specifically mentioned this one in the first post of this thread. i don't think anyone should ever watch that movie. i wanted to murder random strangers after that travesty. the hell is wrong with people?

OK. I've been hearing about Jesus Camp for a while. I'm going to watch it right now. I'll come back here when I'm done.
