I definitely agree with seeing if Henne can do the job. I think Pennington is a great leader and Miami should seriously consider grooming Pennington to be a coach. But Henne has the arm to make this offense dynamic.

Ginn's greatness will show only when Henne gets in. From what I've seen of games, Ginn almost alwyas has his man beat deep. Henne can actually hit him in stride. Opposing teams will definitely keep a safety over Ginn. Imagine what Bess, Camarillo, and an improved London can do with one on on coverage all the time? I'm excited about this group and I know they will shine when Henne does get in.
    Pennington was superb

whats the rush - sit him for 3-4 yrs if pennington kps playing well and then let him fly.

I find it quite humorous that one of the biggest needs wasn't even on the list: Offensive guard.

    LOL

    GO PHINS~!
    In Philbin I trust:

    • As offensive coordinator (OC) of Green Bay from 07-10, his offenses ranked in the top 10 in both total yards and scoring.
    • Green Bay has reached the playoffs in three of Philbin’s four seasons as OC.
    • As OC at Harvard (97-98), the Crimson established 15 offensive records.
    • Philbin spent four seasons (90-93) at Allegheny College, highlighted by two undefeated regular seasons and an NCAA Division III national championship in 90.

    High Priority
    Free Agent:
1a. CB Ashmougu from Oakland... if franchised (this then becomes a medium priority and settle it through the (Draft priority 2-3rd). He is the cream of the crop and would help improve our pass rush that at time was a 1 or 2 step from the QB. Having him will give them that 1-2 steps back. Just to show you an example ... look at the years JT and Trace had with Sam and Patrick. Dunta Robinson - cheaper option but give me the jackpot first
1b. OLB Suggs or Dansby ... we need someone that can rush the Qb, has speed to play the run (laterally) and has strong cover skills (Roth is good, but not all three).. Draft Priority (1st -2nd).
1c. DE Peppers from Carolina... if Franchised (this becomes a lesser Priority) --- How it works ... move Langford inside.

    Medium Priority
2a. Center/OL - I dont see it as much of a priority, with in my opinion it being more in terms of improving our Guard play (a high priority than a C), but with Sparano teams (the bigger the better)... I dont want to trade Satele, but it seems to be that small versitale players don't fit the online imprint for Sparano. (Draft priority 2-3rd)

2b. Defensive Back - (FS) - we need a ball hawk to pair with Bell in the back field (Bell plays the run very well and all that J. Allen can be either at CB or FS it just not happening. (This might have to be one of those glamour big mouth come test me type players) ie, TBuck, Sam M, D. Green, D. Sanders, etc. (not saying this player should be given the title out right based on College). But his game and how he attacks it has to be similar (they grow and strengthen with every challenge

    Recap

    Free Agent
1a. CB Ashmougu or bust (reserve for the draft)
1b. OLB T. Suggs or K. Dansby or bust (reserve for the draft)
    1c. DE Peppers or bust
---Note getting one out of the three is more realistic and if possible that would move the other position high up the draft priority list (with the expection of DE) - Draft Priority would be for a NT
    2. Otogwe (FS) - St. Louis (he is young and would allow us to focus more on CB in the draft). --- we havent had this type of FS since Marion

    Draft
1st OLB (This pick drops down to early 2nd rd and becomes ILB if we sign a OLB)
2nd CB (This selection drops down to bottom 2nd or Third if we sign a CB and if we sign a OLB this becomes 1st Round)
    2nd FS/OL
    3rd FS/OL
--- WR in the late 2nd early third may not suprise me as well.
--- I identified OL for all positions, b/c i dont see Satele as a draft or free agent priority ... I believe thats more at tackle and guard depending on Smiley recovery, Carey free agency, D. Thomas recover, and S. Murphy development. So it is possibility that Satele gets traded (again based on Parcells oline wants). We should get a 2nd or third.

    Trade opportunities.
    Players for picks (round/day possibilities)
    1. Satele - 2nd/3rd
    2. Wilford - Day 2
    3. Roth - Late 3rd/more likely day two
    4. Torbor - Day two

    Idea (possibly fairy tale)
    Trade Down
Our 25th pick for DET 2nd Round pick (1st Selection), 3rd (1st Selection), 5th Round flip and 3rd next year --- They get:

Det gets three #1s, still has a third (has dallas 3rd) and still gets a 5th (with the flip)

We get three #2s, a second #3 (1st selection) which is good (just like last year) its the first pick on day 2, a higher number 5 (trade bait or a find) and a thirds next year (which is good we acquire more picks). I thought about a 1st or 2nd but that might be asking for two much (new regime and all)...

Let me know what yall think (Dream or some reality to it)

My #1 draft priority is a DT or WR. J-Ferg only has so many snaps left IMO and we need a good possesion WR for the red zone and to take pressure off our speedsters. OL? With the coach coming from the G-men and Sparano's experiance I'm not too worried about that problem. I put my faith in whatever they do. We also need an ILB and secondary help. I beleive we took care of the other OLB position with the Wake signing. Bottom line is we will draft the best players available like last year and If Bill and Jeff go totally opposite of my opinions I will still have faith in whatever they choose is best. We have the greatest franchise builder and football mind ever running things so we should just sit back enjoy and have faith.

Offensive line and guard are not mentioned because we have Justin Smiley and Donald Thomas, both who missed time for injury. I think with them both back and healthy this is less of a need.

We could move Satele to guard if we could sign Ravens free agent centre Jason Brown and thus address the issue.

From free agency, my number one target would be Asomugha. In a division where we face Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Lee Evans, Cotchery and Coles an upgrade is needed at corner and Nnamdi is by far the best.

Secondly I would also target Saints and former Hurricanes LB Johnathon Vilma to replace / upgrade at one of the MLBs spot. Vilma is young, should be cheaper than the Ravens LBs and he should welcome a return to south Florida. Failing to get Vilma, we could look at Jags LB Mike Peterson who is sure to leave Jax.

Lastly in free agency, I would target a WR. Bryant Johnson has the size but is inconsistent, so he could be worth a low end offer. Failing that Jabar Gaffney could be worth a shot.

In the draft, I would target a DT or OLB (Raji or Sintim) in round one depending on who is on the board and then address the other position with the first second round pick. I would then target a safety to play alongside Bell with the latter second round pick. Delmas or Hamlin will be available towards the end of the second.

From the third onwards, Id seek out an interior offensive lineman, an ILB and a WR.

    Doesn't it seem...

That we are still looking at the same holes (needs). OL,WR (playmaker) DL and DB. Kinda looks like our list from last year. And is this who we are settled with at QB to move forward? Or do we add Qb to this? We came along way from last year but we dont have the high selection in the draft this year (25) hopefully we can work some deals to fill some needs.

we need a playmaker on the outside, could use another corner, and a defensive lineman. maybe even a linebacker. bright side; we aren't DESPERATELY in need at any one position, so we can keep our options open come draft time. we won't need to reach at a certain position a la jason allen :/ LOL. take the best available from the positions we need help at.
