just saw this one last night. it stars danny mcbride (tropic thunder, eastbound and down) as a karate instructor in some crappy dojo in a strip mall. this guy is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. this flick is fugging hilarious - i highly recommend going out and renting it if you want to watch a comedy.

i saw hot rod right after, which was funny as well. it wasn't as good as the foot fist way, but the plot was definitely funnier. earning money to pay for your step father's surgery so you can beat him up to earn his respect is classic.

run ronnie run was the third one i watched. you guys heard of this? it stars david cross (mr show with bob and david, arrested development) - it was basically a long version of a skit they used to do on mr show. very similar to joe dirt and just as funny.

I haven't seen it, I'll check it out. I really like Danny McBride's delivery. It's awkward, it's unique, it even comes across like how a porn star tries to act but it's intentional.

he's got the mindless humor down to a science. plus his mullet in eastbound and down is probably the coolest thing on the planet. i'm thinking about legally changing my name to kenny powers.

Oh man, I watched this earlier this evening and it killed me. I love how low budget and horribly acted it is. Danny McBride nailed it. He's the demo king. I've already forgotten so many lines but the one that has stuck to me was when they're eating dinner and Fred (McBride) goes, "Oh S**t! We forgot to say grace. Let's hold hands...Jesus Christ...thank you for not allowing us to get any diseases...and thank you for the food that I bought with my own money all by myself. Amen.".

I butchered some of the quote. What killed me was how he said Jesus Christ, he said it the way we say it when we're mad at somebody. He just yelled it out.

The look he gave when he said that killed me. I'm going to have to watch this again to recall more of these lines.
