    Math question

I am in college and my little brother is in a 6th math came to me with a question I think can not have a solution. His teacher said it was extra credit and there is a solution. So i thought i would put Finheaven smarts to the test. So are you smarter than a 6th grader?

Ok here it with the numbers 2, 7, 12, and 24 find a solution that will give you 24. You must use all four numbers to get 24 and in any order and only once. You can use +,-,*, or /. Good luck!

    12 X 7 = 84 / 2 = 48 - 24 =

    24

Haha....no wonder I never made it out of the 6th grade....

    Try this...

    12 / 2 = 6

    7 - 6 = 1

    1 X 24 = 24

do not fill bad i can not do it either without adding another number or getting rid of a number. yeah if you add the 6 it works and if you exclude any of the four numbers i can make it work but not with just 2,7,12,24. I am in calculus and i can not do this sad just sad.

That took me forever to solve.. and I got that same thing. Once I got it I was like, wow that took me THAT long 7-(12/2)*24=24.

    Slimm was right. 48 x 2 = 96 not 84. 84 / 2 = 42...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

In psychology, Stockholm Syndrome is an apparently paradoxical psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. "[6]

There are numbers that are so much tougher to make into 24..
