    EDIT - just noticed that TedSlimm used the exact same formula.

    Slimm was right. 48 x 2 = 96 not 84. 84 / 2 = 42...

    Haha....no wonder I never made it out of the 6th grade....

    Try this...

    12 / 2 = 6

    7 - 6 = 1

    1 X 24 = 24
    That took me forever to solve.. and I got that same thing. Once I got it I was like, wow that took me THAT long 7-(12/2)*24=24.
